Jog Spots

Belle Isle

Get some exercise and a great view of the city. One of the best spots to run, bike or hike in Richmond.

Byrd Park

Boulevard and Idlewood Ave, Richmond, VA 23220

On a late afternoon or a Saturday morning, you can't beat this runner's destination. The trees keep the area well shaded, and the park is perfectly groomed.

Maymont

2201 Shields Lake Dr, Richmond, VA 23220

Plenty of views for runners who need a distraction. Keep in mind that Maymont has some steep hills.

Pocohontas State Park

10301 State Park Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832

Five miles worth of shady trails guarantee a good workout. Consider going for a dip in the pool when you're done.

Canal Walk

S 14th St, Richmond, VA 23219

A runner's haven ideal for downtown workers. Just don't run during the afternoon on a hot day, because the few patches of shade won't be enough to keep you cool.
