Excellent Vietnamese. Must try the fried rice noodle dishes and the Phoenix chicken. BYOB. A hidden gem East of Downtown.

Batanga Tapas + Drinks

Batanga Tapas + Drinks

Houston, TX

This new South American/Spanish hotspot in downtown Houston is fun for a night on the town. The gorgeous patio Makes you feel like you're in some other city, while inside though usually have live music to the tune of bossa nova or samba. Order the pig ears to start, and a few more tapas to share. Ladies, I recommend a Finn's Revenge cocktail.

Goro & Gun

Goro & Gun

Houston, TX

From the man behin the modular and Party Fowl, Houston gets yet another downtown spot for drinks, dinner and a fabulous happy hour. The Brussels sprouts are a must for starters, and the short rib, squid ink gnocchi and miso ramen are outstanding. The cocktail menu is very creative, they even have a selection of non-alcoholic drinks that are quite impressive, puts the Shirley Temple to shame. Happy to have this part of downtown being revived with excellent food and two other great bars near by!

Line & Lariat - Hotel Icon. Their swanky bar, known as the L&L Bar, that sits right smack dab in the middle of the first floor restaurant, will wow you as soon as you enter.
