Five Hundred Club

Five Hundred Club

San Francisco, CA

The best dive bar in the Mission. Hands down. Beers are cheap, sports are on the TV, and the vibe is unpretentious.

Elixir

Elixir

San Francisco, CA

Neighborhood bar with great vibe. Delicious cocktails. Friendly conversations.

Bar Tartine

Bar Tartine

San Francisco, CA

I don't think I could possibly love this restaurant any more than I already do. Fabulously flavor-forward cuisine by Nick Balla with Eastern European influences, and the occasional hint of Japan. Don't miss the langos appetizer, and come for lunch: excellent sandwiches (like the katsu).

Monk's Kettle

Monk's Kettle

San Francisco, CA

If you are craving beer, this is the place to go. With an extensive list, this Mission District locale is a fave among beer connoisseurs & newbies. They also make a mean cheeseburger with crisp, salted fries.

Etcetera Wine Bar. A charming and buzzy little wine bar with an interesting list and tasty nibbles, including a pizza-like tart from Alsace called a "Flammenkueche." The Alsacian is a favorite of mine, since it has caramelized onions and bacon, two substances I would marry if that were legal. It isn't. I checked.… read more
