Located in an unassuming strip center on lower Westheimer, one finds great Thai. The green curry chicken is outstanding, as are all menu items I have tried. Highly recommend!
Although one can make a meal of the bread basket alone at La Griglia (there are pizza strips in it), I always have the Autumn Salad, and if my pants are a little loose, the Shrimp & Crab Cheesecake (recipe ala Mark Cox) is savory decadence. The dessert cart is breathtaking - the Strawberry Ricotta Cake, Coconut Cream and Key Lime Pie are all blow-your-skirt-up good!
Decent enough Tex-Mex food with outstanding Margaritas. I really enjoy the ballpark nachos as well.
This restaurant and its chef have won a gang of well-deserved culinary awards for the fantastic food that they are turning out everyday! Some favorites are the Korean Braised Goat & Dumplings and the Wagyu Carpaccio.

A Houston institution. The Montrose location is usually packed, but worth the wait. You can't go wrong with the hummus platter.
Americas. The flagship Americas is like otherworldly and provocative, playground for the River Oaks set and a treat for anyone who dines there. Though the churrasco steak is easily the must-order standard, playful lamb lollipops with yucca, inventive ceviches, and a fantastic new cocktail program headed by beverage guru and somm James Watkins are other reasons to visit this stunning restaurant.… read more

Eleven Xi Restaurant & Bar. Excellent beer, wine, and cocktail menu paired with fresh seafood and eclectic choices like quail, halibut cheeks, and blue corn grits. The peanut butter tower dessert tasted just like the Girl Scout cookie- tag a long, but wasn't quite enough to share. Great dinner, but certainly a splurge and won't be incorporated to the go out to eat list. … read more
