Octopus caught off the coast? Yes, please! That local delicacy was marinated and served chilled with a sun-dried tomato vinaigrette as a recent starter, shocking in its ultra-tenderness. This was just one of the impressive dishes highlighting the amazing ingredients from the Northwest. The beautifully prepared wild Chinook salmon with pea tendrils and fava beans was another seasonal treat. The real treat was the gracious service in this busy dining room, especially our seasoned waiter, who suggested excellent Oregon wine matches for the food. The Adelsheim Pinot gris was brilliant with the first course, and the deeply flavored, Burgundian-style Domaine Serene was incredible alongside the salmon. The menu might give potential diners that this venue is formal, but the crowd on a Monday night was a mix of casually attired guys and gals, businessmen and even a few stroller-pushing families. Everyone seemed united in their enjoyment of the plates set before them.
Upscale and romantic. Decadent, inventive Pacific NW cuisine. Menu emphasizes seasonal & locally-sourced ingredients.
Love this theater and the $3 buck shows! It's the same Mcmennemen's food as the rest, pizza, burger and hummus plate. Grab a glass of Black Rabbit wine or a Ruby, sit back and enjoy the show. Look at their online calendar for monthly events including Miss Kitty's Parlour Show - which is a variety show not to be missed for laughs, entertainment and something unique.
The Ram's Head is a McMenamin's, so you know what to expect food and drink-wise, but what I love is how English pub-cozy it is inside. You can really hunker down in comfort in inclement weather, and in sunnier moments, the patio tables are a fun people-watching perch. Good happy hour daily 3-6pm and 10pm to close...the black and tan brownie is only $3.

The Jack London Bar. Located inconspicuously in the Rialto's basement, the Jack London Bar does something different with evening entertainment and a liquor license. Lolas Room At the Crystal. The little sister of the "Diva" upstairs from it, The Crystal Ballroom, has a lot of soul to her too. Much smaller than The Crystal Ballroom, this space offers concerts at a much more intimate level as well as being home to the weekly 80's video dance party known as 80's Video Dance Attack. Screens play the iconic dance videos as the song fills the space and everyone dances as if it were still 1987!… read more
