Has been a favorite of mine for years. I'd recommend the Bruschette with shaved NY strip, mascarpone, boschetto, truffle oil, to start with it makes my mouth so happy! The pastas are always divine and the atmospher is romantic and the service fabulous.
Weekend attract all kind at this creative cocktail bar but if you can get a seat at the bar and try some of the delicious creations you'll be happy. One of the original Portland craft cocktail bars.
This one is a bit mixed, I recommend this place for the food (and the band/music) but their staff is soooo slow. If you have nowhere else to go this would be a good place to hang out, their fries and the shellfish dish are yummy!
One of my favorite sushi experiences ever was at this friendly, elegant restaurant in the Pearl's swanky Burlington building, where we nibbled flawlessly fresh sashimi while blatantly watching the first date next to us crash and burn, as she threw a passionate fit about the still-moving shrimp head on her plate, then covered it with a leaf shroud as her appalled date looked on. Amazing sushi, amazing eavesdropping=the ideal meal.

Silk By Pho Van Vietnamese. When simple, fresh ingredients are brought together, such as ginger and lemongrass or garlic and turmeric, the resulting flavor becomes larger than the sum of its parts. The dishes coming out of Silk's kitchen are evidence of this, as is the front of house, where plates of traditional Vietnamese cuisine are paired with a sleek, modern dining room. The outcome is an exalted approach to ordinarily humble recipes. … read more
