And it's packed, no matter what time of day or night. The space is retro cutie, but the food is a long list of updated classics and there's a nice lineup of micros on tap. The tots were fine and dandy, while the corned beef has was all stringy meat with virtually no potatoes. The pies, made by a local baker, are vegan.

The city looks pretty from the deck of these ships, especially when the sun comes out.

I love the easy access, either from the nearby Light Rail stop or because it's fairly easy to find street parking. Come early and you might bump into chefs from some of the hottest restaurants in Seattle.

The super cool cocktail bar at the red hot Revel does a nice job mixing interesting drinks. Love the Lazy Gardener with cucumber gin and Rachel's Ginger Beer. The patio's got a fire pit and everybody looks good in that... The super cool cocktail bar at the red hot Revel does a nice job mixing interesting drinks. Love this place! Small plates rule here and it's easy to get carried away. Go ahead and splurge. Especially groovy in the summer when the patio's open.

And, there's rarely a wait for a table these days. While everybody and their brother go ga-ga for the lamb popscicles, I'm a sucker for the pakora, which is a fried veggie fritter.
