Just renewed the registration on my automobile and didn't notice until I got home that I was charged $12.55 service fee! I haven't used them in a few years - but they used to just charge $2. I called to ask why and the answer was that they are a private company and the person on the phone was very rude besides. I told her we would never use them again and she said that was fine. Anyway - NO STARS
Don't believe the bad! It's all good! – I think the people who are writing the bad reviews are confused. Perhaps they are referring to the other TItle service on FM78? They are as described. I went by there because it is a bit closer to the house and I saw what was described in the negative reviews here - - tatoos, wouldn't accept credit cards or checks - only cash (you gotta be wary of an all-cash business folks!) Very rude too.
On the other hand I have been taking my titles, registrations, etc to Tisdales since they opened in 1982 - - I am former police officer and the reason I go there is they are fast, friendly, efficient, understanding, and can solve or answer most any question. The in and out time is quick and the fee is really nominal (imagine the fee vs. waiting two hours in line at the County Clerks' office!). At least give them a try - - - you will see I am right and it wouldn't surprise me if someone who is competing with them is writing a bad review - - it's simply not true. Why would I go there for 30 years if it was. So, here is my Email address to prove I am real:

Excellent Service – I just returned hoe from getting my car registratioin at Tisdale's Auto Title Service, and I am delighted to give them "rave reviews". The personnel were pleasant and efficient and courteous in every way. They resolved several problems for me in a highly professional manner. The young woman serving me was knowledgeable, efficient, and very businesslike in helping me. I was in and out of their office in about twenty minutes including ten minutes wait time in spite of a packed waiting room when I entered. The redecorationg in the office was a major improvement which contributes to the overall effectiveness of the organization.
The only thing I observed that was in any way a negative was one of the clerks was wearing shorts. I do not consider this appropriate business attire. Otherwise Tisdale's continues to be a model of outstanding business.

The New Tisdales ARE ALL LYING BITCHES – ALL THE REVIEWS EVERYONE READS IS ALL DONE BY THE NEW OWNERS. THEY ARE ALL LYES, EVERYONE THAT NEW THE ORIGINAL TISDALES KNWS THEY WERE NOT HILLBILLIES,THEY HADN'T BEEN IN JAIL. THESE NEW PEOPLE WANT TO ROB AND HIKE PRICES UP ON THE ELDERLY. the original tisdales were a bunch of biker hillbillies – they were rude messy tatoos all over their arms. the workers looked like they just got out of jail. the place smelled like smoke. the new people are awesome.
this office has gone from bad to worse – This place gets no stars; we all in uc tx need to band 2gether . These people who run it now don't care about anything but hicking up prices. When Ms.F Tisdale and her daughter (Linda) opened in (82), they were wonderful people to do business with . I work for a dealer and we have used this office for years for our fleet deals these ladies in here now; can't seem to get it right. They have put Tisdale's name to shame out here, and now we go to another office . Heads up !! Watch the reviews tey are not real customers .
WOW!! No more going to the tax office – A friend of mine recommended Tisdale's to me last week and I went. Thank God! With my work schedule, I can't go and wait at the tax office and really needed to get my registration done. I walked into Tisdale's and even though it was busy, I took a number and sat down until I was called about 5 minutes later. No hassle, very friendly and quick. Was not used to having to pay more than the registration renewal said, but then, how else could this company stay in business. Reasonable prices and saved me a ton of time.
Great service – I have had great experiences every time I have been to Tisdale's lately. The only time I had a problem is when I gave them the VIN to another vehicle by accident and got the wrong plates issued. Once I caught it and returned, they fixed the problem immediately. Even though they were not at fault, they could only go with the information I gave them. Busy office, but they are excellent at keeping the people moving and are friendly the whole time. Prices are well worth not having to stand in line at the tax office.
Rude and incorrect – Under the new ownership I have found they are inaccurate in the info given. No one is one the same page. They are the most unfriendly bunch of people. I have found the only person to deal with is Jessica she goes the extra mile to make it happen. The prior ownership was fantastic we registered our large fleet of vehicles with them at a fair price. Now due to the unreasonable rates charged I do it online. Be prepared for the worse customer service when you stop in!
Poor service – Tisdales issued me incorrect license plates. When asked to replace them they refused. I was issued a warning citation by the police due to driving with cancelled plates. They did not replace the plate9s or registration sticker which were issued to the incorrect VIN number. When they were presented with the citation their response was rude. When the company was previously owned by Linda Tomblin, they were a great small business. I have used them for years to take care of my title needs. Due to this costly mistake, and the new ownership (2009) my family and I will no longer be visiting Tisdales.
