My fiancee and I went to marthas on Thursday night. We ordered a guacamole and never received it, but we were charged for it anyway. The refried beans tasted strange so we did not eat them and reported it to the waiter. He said he would go talk to the cook and see if there was an issue with them. He came back and told us the cook just said it had too much salt so they would put on a fresh pot and bring us some more when they were ready. When he brought the new beans they tasted exactly like they were from the same batch, so we ended up not eating them anyway. The main reason for this bad review is both my fiancee and I got sick that night. We were up all night and spent the next day very sick and because of this we both missed a day of work. We called the restaraunt to report that it made us sick and the missing guacamole. We talked to Chris the owner and he didn't seem too concerned. He didn't ask what he could do to make it better. All he said was "I'm sorry to hear that." His tone didn't sound sorry; he sounded bored. He offered us a free guacamole the next time we came in but unfortunately we won't be going back because we don't trust places that don't seem at all concerned about giving people food poisoning
Beware! Owner is like a pitbull in heat! Mean! – Food was good but not noteworthy or great. Steak was a little fatty and the beans were runny. Our waitress was ok but service was slow. The biggest complaint was the Owner of the Restaurant. We tried to redeem a Restaurant dot com gift certificate and we had it presented from the time we sat down until the time we left. The waitress said the cashier would take care of the discount. When we go up to the cashier, she showed us a little sign saying they don't accept the certificates any more but she would see what she could do. After about 5 minutes of waiting, this angry man with a horrible attitude came and belligerently told us they didn't take them any more.
We said he needed to train his servers then because she didn't tell us that. We also said he needed to let Restaurant dot com know because I had just bought the certificate. He yelled at us that he did and as of April 1st they weren't in the program any longer. We checked the website and they are still listed today, April 9th. So there is miscommunication somewhere or this guy (the owner, I found out) is lying. We told him we wouldn't be coming back because of his attitude and he just made rude comments and even cussed at us and told us "he's getting the full amount anyways." Sure one sum is great for the night but he lost repeated business. After reflecting on his actions, I can see why his staff isn't trained.
If you do go, don't bring any coupons or you will get treated like dirt.
