From TV to Surround sound and five sets of speakers – When we built our first home in 1991, we wanted a surround sound system in the living-entertainment room. A friend recommended Concert Sound, then at 5313 McCullough in San Antonio.
They did a great job with NAD cassette player. We added a NAD Receiver when our 1968 JVC one just could not keep up with the four rooms and patio speakers required. Finally a NAD a 5 CD changer and a Sub Wooffer later.
All the wiring was installed before the wall board went up. Since we did not choose the builders security company, they installed the telephone lines, too.
In 2008, we have up graded to HD TV and Blue Ray DVD in the Liviing Room and the NAD Receiver is holding its own. As we transition to HD TVs in the three bedrooms and the kitchen, we are looking to connecting them to speakers in those rooms, which just rum off a splitter from the Living Room.
Don't know if they are into doing this for us or they have moved on to other things, but my fingers are crossed.
Oh, Mark is back in San Antonio, but Creston moved the storefront to 830 W. Third Street, Suite 1138

With amplifiers, speakers or turntables, kick your quality up a notch or two.

Shopping for high-end audio can be a bit stressful. Walking across the wood floors and into the living room-style space at Concert Sound should put any shopper at ease. So will the personal attention of owner Mark Heaston. Concert Sound has been in business since 1981--so there's no need for a hard sell. Just listening to the super-slim speakers will make any audio-skeptic a believer in the church of high-quality equipment.
The ATC monitors, made in England, are used in some of the finest music recording studios. They have even been used for mixing major movie sound tracks. These special monitors provide a flat accurate response with very low distortion. LINN turntables give listeners that crisp sound as it extracts more information from a record. Typical turntables utilize about 20 percent of the information, at the most, from the record. LINN turntables, however, can extract 50 percent of the information on a record, giving you more of the actual recorded sound.
