MK Davis restaurant – I can't say enough of their food, not to mention the schooners, which are simply awesome. But my ownly beef is their benches, they are way to hard. Would highly recommend some padding on all their benches ASAP. Also should have a better waiting area for those who have to wait in a very cramped area.

MK DAVIS

THE SEATING IS HARD TO FINE WHEN YOU ENTER LOTS OF PEOPLE AND THE LIGHTING IS NOT VERY GOOD. THE FOOD IS GREAT BUT THE PRICE OF FOOD IS A LITTLE HIGH. THE SCOOTER?S DRINKS (BEER) ETC. ARE GREAT IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A DATE AND DRINK FOR TWO. THE OWNERS ARE THE SWEETEST PEOPLE YOU COULD EVER MEET. I LOVE EATING THERE MYSELF. LOTS OF SEA FOOD. MEXICAN FOOD, AND AMERICAN FOOD. CAN BE A HARD HABBIT TO BREAK.

This is the real deal: blue-collar, ultra-cheap and completely happy to call itself a "dinner lounge." – The Scene
Except for two light-up Spuds McKenzie statuettes, the inside of MK Davis is a 1970s time warp, complete with gaudy red wallpaper and a basement rec room feel. The grease-stained menu is also a relic from the past. Offerings include such heart-clamping treats as fried fish, T-bone steaks and chili. But is a complete disregard for modernity of any consequence when you can get the biggest, coldest, most bicep-building schooners of beer in all of San Antonio?

The Food
MK Davis serves up bone-dry burgers, grease-soft fries and fried fish only a half-generation away from being fish sticks. The scattering of uninspired Tex-Mex dishes make it a better choice to stick with the tastes of Americana. Given all these caveats, the grand task of lifting that frost-heavy schooner to your lips still makes a visit into this dark den a "trip" worth taking.
