Antiques and art combine for a bohemian look..
Beauty Before Age
The unassuming building exterior hides an innovative and artistically expressive showroom. Wherever you're in the store, you're surrounded by paintings and sculptures, as if you were in a 1905 Parisian apartment where Pablo Picasso and Gertrude Stein might have met. The owner David Perez is one of San Antonio's biggest art collectors, so his interest in antiques leans toward their craftsmanship and aesthetics, not just their age.
The Light Above
The store prominently features art nouveau and art deco furniture, such as a sleek wood-and- glass liquor cabinet ($299) and stainless-steel lamps. Look up, and you'll see chandeliers that fit the style of each period on display. A two-tiered, brass chandelier is a particular standout ($295).
