I will not go there again!!!!!! – I called to get a price on a replacement speaker . A female employee gave me the price and when I asked what the return policy was she casually stated, "There is no return policy on speakers." She continued (speaking over me) saying,"and thats the way it has always been."

I was shocked. I asked," Is there anyway to test the speaker before buying?" Her only reply was, "No. Would you like to speak to a manager?" I even offered to bring in the amp and switch out the speaker and test it there before I left the store. She said, "Yes. After you pay for it."

I thought it best to look for my parts somewhere else and suggest you do also.

the only game in town – this is the only music store in town to get the best deals. I'm always greeted at the door and these guys know their stuff.

BAD SERVICE! – I have been to guitar center on san pedro about 5 times and I have never been greeted by any of the staff members and they dont help at all. I had to ask some guy to help me (Joe) and it seemed he did not know what he was doing. Plus, he never came back with my answers. I really rather go to SAM ASH because they are very nice and knowledgeable on music eqiupment.

For those who want to do more than listen. – Back to Basics
Welcoming you to this northside music emporium are huge signs advertising the likes of Pearl drums and Marshall stacks--if you were in a garage band, you'd be home by now. Hermes has a huge array of instruments for both amateurs and professionals. It's kind of awe-inspiring to walk though the huge store, gazing at walls and racks chock-full of guitars, basses and drum kits.

Three Chords and More
There are Fenders galore here, to be sure, but the store offers some more unusual choices--start with the dizzying array of Gabbanelli accordions in all colors of the rainbow. In addition to the usual accessories--straps, picks and strings--you'll find up-to-date sound, lighting and MIDI equipment.
