Reviews for Home Depot

During an impromptu visit to Home Depot, today, I was faced with a very sad and inconsistent notification by two sales associates in their gardening center. Many times, in excess of a dozen, over the past two years I have visited Home Depot, 1066 Central Pkwy South, San Antonio, TX., gardening center with my dog Lucy. With EACH visit I have always, respectfully, asked if I could shop with Lucy by my side. NEVER have WE been refused entry and she has always been such a wonderfully behaved young dog. She is admired, visited, and talked about by all. She thoroughly enjoys shopping, sniffing, and talking with others. Today, after a wonderful shopping spree at Pet's Mart we decided to stop in at Home Depots gardening center to finalize some "plant" purchases I had started the previous Friday. Again, I respectfully asked if Lucy could join me BUT this time I was told, " NO!" I was told she could IF SHE WAS PLACED IN A SHOPPING CART!! Lucy is a beautiful White German Shepherd weighing approximately 75 lbs. SERIOUSLY? So, essentially IF your dog is willing to "ride" in a shopping cart, likely small breed dogs only, then you are more than welcome. BUT if your dog is guided by you, wearing a harness attached to a leash and you are in complete control, that is NOT acceptable. I cannot say how angry I am with this INCONSISTENT OBVIOUSLY BIASED STORE POLICY! I am far too upset and angry to personally call the store manager although I had wanted to share this with "them" personally. I now have a VERY BITTER feeling about Home Depot, although I've been a dedicated shopper since their inception in San Antonio, TX.
