The Troubadour is one of my favorite small venues to see a band in Los Angeles. The stage is big enough for the bands to not feel cramped, and the audience area is small enough so that there are no bad spots in the house. There's also a cool balcony area where you can sit, and the staff is friendly enough as well. Pick this place over anywhere on the Sunset strip for sure.
Good times, and good memories here.
Too bad there's no stage to dive off D:
The Service is excellent and the employees are always welcoming. Your meal comes out inside a acceptable length of time and taste excellent. What else can you consider when searching for a restaurant?
Loved the place, it's rare we discover a place our whole family enjoys dining at. Highly Recommended.
Live and intimate..music to roll your soul! – Music and soul are seeped into every crack of this landmark live entertainment venue! I have seen a variety of entertainment through this place from single guitar acoustic acts to 80's metal to all out thrash bands. The place lends itself to each genre and provides an enjoyable but intimate setting to really feel as well as hear the music. Nothing beats hearing music live and the Troubadour has delivered for years at affordable ticket prices!
Excellent stage, atmosphere and acoustics! – Easily my favorite small venue in L.A. It’s just big enough to fit a good amount of people, at the same time being perfectly cozy. Don’t feel like standing, or the floor getting a little too crowded? The loft upstairs is a great spot to get a view of the stage while also giving your feet a rest. Insider tip: Never buy your tickets to a show here from Ticketmaster, always get them directly from the venue through their fax ordering. Trust me, it will save you about $10 a ticket in fees!
one of the best venues for music – an intimate venue with their own box office so you can avoid the ridiculous ticketmaster markups. I have never seen a bad headlining performance in this venue and the sound is always up to par.
Best Concert Venue – The Troubadour is my most favorite place to see a live show in Los Angeles. It's famous for a reason. The sound system is pretty rad and their roster is usually chock full of respectable artists. The best part, though, is that there isn't a bad spot in the house. Whether you show up late and get stuck in the back or you come early, the stage is always mere feet from you. I guess I love that intimate feeling. The bonus to going early though is that you can snag a seat in the balcony. Everything else is standing room, but the balcony, practically hanging over the stage, makes you feel like an instant VIP. Lastly, if you like to drink, consider a pre-party with your pals beforehand; drink prices are a bit steep, even for a simple bottle of beer.
cozy concert venue – I came to this venue a few years back to watch Copeland, and I really liked it here. It's small enough to be personal, but not to make you feel claustrophobic (I had problems with that in previous concerts). Also, if you like a more laid-back concert environment, you watch from upstairs on the balcony. Also, the sound isn't too blaring where you can't hear at the end of the night.
