BEST PLACE FOR A HOME COOKED BURGER – HEY EVERYONE SHORT STOP IS BACK IN BUISNESS ,I AM AN OLD CUSTOMER AND I WENT BACK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 4 MONTHS ,NEW FACES AND FRIENDLY SERVICE BEST OF ALL OF THE WORKERS ARE NEW AND LOVELY..GOT MY FOOD IN LESS THAN THREE MIN,MY KIDS HAD A BLAST THE DRIVE THRU VERY FAST AND QUICK ..GOT TO SAY GREAT WORK AND KEEP UP THE HARD WORK..THE FOOD WAS HOT AND FRESH AND BEST OF ALL MY DRINK WAS AWESOME ..IF YOU HAD BAD SITUATIONS WITH THIS PLACE GIVE THEM ANOTHER SHOT ..I PROMISE U WILL BE VERY HAPPY ......YOU CAN'T BEAT 3.69 FOR A COMBO ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAYS AND DON'T FORGET THE CATFISH ON FRIDAYS .....
Terrible Experience – I use to be a Short Stop fan. I don't know what's happened over the last year but I would not recommend it! Today I went by the Cedar Park location and ordered a chicken sandwich (which was $4 for just a sandwich BTW). Before I left I checked my order - sandwich was correct, dripping in grease so I knew it was hot - I didn't realize it was not fresh, After one bite I realized it was NOT fresh. I'm not sure if it had been sitting out and refried to heat - or what happened but it was unedible!! I've also had this happen two other times with fries. They are steaming hot - dripping in grease but taste horrible. The only explanantion that makes any sense is they are refried to heat.
I called when I arrived home to complain and was told that they do not re-fry anything and the sandwich had been fresh. I'm a picky eater, but not that picky. I've eaten Short Stop's chicken sandwiches a ton of times before and I am certain this was not fresh. The manager was extremely rude on the phone! I am certain I will not be visiting Short Stop, at least not in Cedar Park, again!
Bad Customer Service! – We decided on Short Stop for dinner, since the burgers are really good. We paid with our atm card and when our order was complete, they forgot to give us our change, when we mentioned our change they looked confused. After receiving our change and not receiving our receipt, we left. Upon arriving home we discovered that half of our order was missing and the sweet tea tasted as if it were made with dirty water.
When we called the store, after letting the phone ring for 5 minutes, the manager proceeded to tell me that she was working with frozen meat, she was short staffed and that she had to call in another manager. When she said she would replace our meal, I had to ask her if she wanted my name. She rushed me off the phone saying she would replace it with a bag of burgers, which was completely wrong. Then she told ME that she would trust ME to give the order correctly! UNBELIEVABLE! After spending over $30, plus the fee to use the debit card, I ended up paying $8 per meal and then two of the meals were incomplete! You can be assured that we will never eat at short stop again!
yummy – this is a great short stop but the best is the Duval where they still flame broil the hamburgers
