I totally agree with this person's comments about Christine! I had the same experience. I dont recommend this braider, because she's a complete rip off. While she no longer has her shop, and is braiding out of her home, it's a mess in there; enough to make me lose my appetite while eating my own cooked food. As for her braiding, she takes short cuts big time! I specifically asked her not to make corn rows in my hair, but box braids instead, and that my sister complained about having different size braids in her her. Guess what, as i sat touching my scalp, i noticed the entire back and middle was filled with cornrows, and little box braids on the top! WTF????!!!!!! She charged $160 for that mess! Never again!

I WILL NEVER LET CHRISTINE BRAID MY HAIR AGAIN – Ladies, I would like to put Christine on BLAST!! First of all let me say that I am a african american woman, and have been getting my hair braided for many years. I cant count how many times I've had micro braids. But here recently I contacted Christine to braid my hair. I was actually looking for her sister, but after Christine told me that she moved I went ahead and booked an appointment with her. Now don't get me wrong, I have heard that Christine was not a good hair braider from friends and family, but I went ahead and allowed her to braid my hair. First of all she charges $180.00 for Micro braids - and that's my point exactly. Her braids are not micro. She braids the hair small in the front and very large in the back. After she braided my hair..and after they were loose enough for me to begin to style them I noticed that she'd taken VERY large sections in the back of my head and made one sigle braid. The sections that she took to braid one braid should have been about three of four micro braids. If you've had micros before you know that each piece is very small, hence the fact that they are call micros. About a week later the braids at the nape of my neck began to fall out because they were too bit and I also noticed that she did not braid the weave hair past my real hair...after she specifically asked me if I wanted her to do that. My braids we different sizes and all that I could do was wear them down. I actually called her and told her that I was not happy with my hair, and she began to say that she needed to call me back because she was driving and could not talk. So basically, I shot myself in the foot because I knew the rumors around Austin about Christine, but I allowed her to braid my hair anyway. SO PLEASE don't allow this woman to put her hands on your hair. She is not professional(she also combs dry, ethnic hair with a fine tooth comb which is a no no), she does'nt care about the way her work looks, and she is actually kind of nasty - her shop is gross. All she wants is your money. NEVER ALLOW THE WOMAN TO BRAID YOUR HAIR AND PLEASE PASS ON THIS MESSAGE. THANK YOU
