Tips for The Spaghetti Warehouse

UGH!! Yuck. My husband & I decided to try Spaghetti Warehouse for dinner which was a huge mistake!! The food was awful and I would not ever go eat there again. As we were leaving a ROACH crawled across our table. I could not believe it. After the horrible food and so so service we just left. That place needs a major makeover and the entire management needs to be replaced. I can't believe that they have remained open. BEWARE

dont do it. wow this place blows!

Growing up i used to dream of going to spaghetti warehouse in san antonio by the alamo dome. Every time we went it was amazing with great fresh food.

well what a change of pace. we went there for my girlfriends son's birthday which i recommended since when i was his age i thought it was great.

when we arrive no wait and sat immediately by a confused hostess not sure where to sit the table. Then the waitor come that doesn't know anything. I order a shiner came back and told me they didn't have it. I ordered a yellow tail shiraz.. once again he leave goes to the bar and comes back to say they did not have that either. so fustrated me just orders a coors light then.

ok well i should be honest im an chef at a local restaurant now and have never wrote a review on a restaurant that did not deserve one , even my own.

so as the order progresses we order fried cheese sticks... once again they dont have it... at this point me and my girl were that close of just walking out but it not make it awkward for his BIRTHDAY we bit the bullet and bared to experience the worst.

We then ordered a fried ravioli. This was ok except it tasted like a cheap frozen procuct that was fried with a fish product. My girl didnt like it so asked to return it. The manager soon comes out.... this is where it gets good... So as the manager comes to the table he swears that there is no fish fried in the same fryer as the one the raviolis came from. He also said they only had one fryer going that night. Now if you look at their menu WABAM... FRIED CALAMARI?!!! yea he was a fat dumb one that should make sure his shirt is tucked in next time he touches a table.

the entrees were ok at best.

then for a traditional birthday comped dessert youd think...

haha so our waitor comes to the table and says since his manager doesnt usually give away free desserts but since we went happy he would comp this one. To be honest i didnt want to pay for any of it and thought the manager should have listened better.

Piece of advice FOH manager : use the LEARN method. Listen, Empathize, Act, Rectify, Notify.

All and ALL this place is crap in comparison of what it used to be. I must admit the service and management need to be fired.

Bad service, worse food. I went here with friends to celebrate a mutual friend's moving to town and was desperately disappointed. Our waiter took forever to take our order, bring drinks and drink refills, and had to be reminded more than once of something she was supposed to have brought us but had forgotten. The appetizer sampler plate we ordered was enjoyable, and if we had left it at that the experience wouldn't have been bad. The wedding soup I had with my dinner was rather bland and what flavor was there was eerily reminiscent of Campbell's Chicken Noodle. My main course, Chicken and Mushroom Pasta, was an utter failure. The pasta was rubbery, the chicken tasted like it was a lesser quality cut of white meat and was overcooked besides, and the sauce was not much better than colored water. The whole dish suffered from a complete lack of seasoning, causing me to eventually over-salt the food attempting to bring out some flavor, rendering it completely inedible. Of the four other people at my table, one did not get what he ordered, one ended up adding too much pepper to her ravioli attempting to make it taste like something, and none of us particularly enjoyed the meal. Only one of us actually finished their food. It is harsh, but I have had 99 cent frozen dinners that I enjoyed more than what I got at SW. Needless to say, I'm never going back.

great food!!. My husband and I went to the Austin spaghetti warehouse this past weekend and had excellent service. We both chose lasagna and it was very good. The only bad thing about the meal was having to pay $8 just to park!!

Disapointing food. We have gone to other Spaghetti Warehouse resturants and have been very pleased. This one does not rate the name. The food was carelessly prepared. My order came and it was not what I ordered. The waiter told me to work on what I had and he would get the right order out. He returned shortly with burned sausage in a bowl. My spaghetti had so much water in it it was swimming. The sauce tasted bland. The salad was basic with little substance other than iceburg lettuce and croutons. The marinara sauce for the calimari was basically a big chunk of tomato. I would be ashamed to serve this to my guests.

The worst Italian food that I have ever attempted to consume. I am not typically a very picky eater. When I go into a restaurant, I usually put the best construction on the food, and try to give them the benefit of the doubt. So, when I went into Spaghetti Warehouse last night and saw the cute atmosphere, I was surprised that it was deserted on a Friday night. I discovered why it was deserted when I got my food?it was awful. I cannot remember going to a restaurant and eating food that bad. I ordered the soup and salad. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, some croutons, one tomato slice, and one miniscule onion slice. I would have expected a better salad at a fast food BBQ place. Then my minestrone soup came out. It looked like pale reddish brown water with a few pathetic and lonely looking vegetables floating around in it. It tasted even worse than it looked. I have had far superior soup from a condensed soup can. I could only stomach about two spoonfuls of the soup, so my friend offered some of her food. She got the lasagna and manicotti, and it looked like someone had already eaten it. It was equally disgusting as my soup and salad. I then discovered that she did not like her food either. The food at Spaghetti Warehouse is cheaply made and highly overpriced. Please listen to me when I tell you not to go there. I do not have a personal vendetta against Spaghetti Warehouse; I just have never been so disappointed leaving a restaurant in my entire life.

Spaghetti warehouse is average, but overpriced.... Fazoli's italian fast food is on par with the quality of the dishes at spaghetti warehouse but Fazoli's is 1/2 the price. It is a great place for kids, especially on Monday's when they have their kids eat for 99 cents, but typically the service you get on those days is sub-par...

Friday and Saturday nights be prepared to wait a bit for a table...

Bad Italian. The food is highly overpriced for what is offered. I mean, it wasn't horrible, but when I saw my check, I was shocked. Three orders of mediocre spaghetti=$60? You're better off with the cheesy scene at Olive Garden.
