Hidden Treasure - Great Place to Drink Coffee & Shop For Gou – This Place should be better known! They actually roast the coffees on premise and sell by the bag or cup to the public and in bulk to restaurants and business'. Located just east of I35, they offer a quaint seating area to sip a cup of delicious coffee (varieties to choose from). To my surprise they also have a little shop with gift items (mostly coffee related ), as well as gourmet candies! It is a great place to relax for a while. I could just sit there and enjoy that great coffee aroma!
Not so good – I've had their coffee a couple of times in different donut shops and whatnot and it's not terrible. But I've tried their espresso drinks a couple of times on campus (at the law school cart) and it was awful! There are way too many options on campus, so I recommend going someplace else.
Straight from the furthest reaches of Ethopia, Indonesia and Africa and into your cup. – In Short
They support farmers, the environment and the local community. Conservation groups, women's shelters and Native American groups all profit from the proceeds of different "special project" coffee blends. Employees are also paid salary rates for volunteer efforts. These coffee traders donate back a portion of their profits to the grower's community in the Costa Rican Rain Forest. They also support "shade" grown coffee; coffee grown without cutting the rain forest canopy for light.
Mmmmmmmmmmm... – Sorry, I'm hooked on Texas Coffee Traders. They have so many varieties of fresh beans, will roast to order, and blend to taste. For me, it's a delicious exploration into the many mysterious dark regions of coffee flavor. And you can always depend on their being fresh and perfectly roasted.
It's a feel-good experience for another reason, too. Texas Coffee Traders buys Free Trade coffee, meaning that those who grow the beans in other parts of the world receive adequate compensation - unlike that inferior stuff sold by the big distributors.
Coffee Traders sells the exotic stuff at very fair prices. That's why you can have it in the best restaurants in town and why I buy it for myself. It pleases my taste buds, my conscience and my bank account.
Starbucks is for beginners! I'm a connoisseur. I find the aromatic coffees from Texas Coffee Traders delightful!
