OUTSTANDING!!!. I am new to Austin and in the market to buy a "new" used second car. I don't know any mechanics to give the car a once over and diagnostic so make sure it is okay to drive.

Both Chico and Don took great care of me and saved me thousands of dollars by being thorough, honest, and quick. They are both top notch with customer service and the technicians have been quite thorough.

I'm off to see them again tomorrow and I hope this one will be a go for buy!

Great tires & great service !!! Big Thanks. The head of service was attentive and got me in on time and back out on the road safely. I was especially impressed that the ladies room was clean and neat with even a touch of decorations...what a first !

Beware Of Total Ripoff!!!!!!!!!. My car was having brake problems and also problems starting so I took it to Firestone for a diagnostics test and brake rotors and pads. They called me a few hours later and said that I had a blown head gasket and with that and brakes it would be $2200 or more plus tax!!! I had no choice but to leave and get a second opinion which I did at Lugnuts at 6212 Manchaca. Well they ran every test they had and called me and guess what? All my car needed was 2 radiator hoses, coolant adapter, and spark plugs. Firestone was going to steal over $2000 from me and with no regrets. Even if you have some car smarts I would NEVER go to this place. I know what they did was illegal but what do you do besides this and calling 7 on your side!! Thanks for trying to take my x-mas money but not this time..

Avoid this place. I pulled into this place and asking if they sold batteries. A guy in the parking lot said yes and asked if I was afraid to turn off the engine. I said yes so he said to pull into the area where they were doing the work. I pulled in very tentatively and was getting out of the car when a man started yelling at me to get out. He came over to me and got in my face and was yelling. Not once did he ask me in a polite way. We exchanged a lot of words then called the manager who instructed me to pull out because someone was waiting to pull in; an obvious lie. They were both extremely rude, kept telling me it was against company rules and it was obvious the guy who told me to pull in was going to get in trouble. I hope he starts his own business because he was the only person who acted like the customer was more important than "the rules". These people don't deserve my business or yours. I wasn't getting in front of anyone else.

Worst service without a doubt. I took my car to get a front end alignment. I called ahead of time got a quote and promptly took my car to firestone. I arrived at around 11:30am and they were only working on other cars. I was told the car should be ready by 2 maybe 1 pm. 2 pm came around and i did not receive a call so i went to pick my car up. I was pleased to see my car was in the same spot i parked it and thought the work had been completed. I was informed i was next in line. After 3 hours they had not even touched my car! No apology, just the fact that i was next in line. To make matters worse a car that had arrived 5 minutes before was going into their garage. I propmtly asked for my keys and that was it. What kind of place does this? Never will i go into another firestone in my life. Their service and customer service is horrendous.

Not Trustworthy At All. I went in to get an alignment. I came out with over $700 worth of surprise charges. And that's only because I canceled/stopped the remaining $650+ worth of "absolutely critical" work to get a second opinion. After all, my car had no symptoms of ANY of the supposed issues--and although I'm just some stupid chick who apparently appears to be lucky to even dress herself, I figured a second opinion would be the prudent thing to do.

After two second opinions (so I guess it'd be more of a second and a third opinion), the verdict is out. Firestone either (a.) doesn't know it's butt from a brake rotor or (b.) has no issue with taking customers for all they're worth (or in my case, more).

All that aside, I still wanted to believe in the basic goodness of Austin companies--so I called them. And I told them, very nicely, that I had received two other opinions, both of which were completely contradictory to their diagnosis. ($60 later, mind you--second opinions don't come free.) What did I get? Nothing. Not a "sorry." Not a "that s*cks." Not a "let us check it out again to be sure you're not actually riding in the death mobile we warned you about." NOTHING. It was the most uncomfortable conversation because the person I was talking to fundamentally did not give a flying ... about me or my situation. And he was the nice guy.

Everyone has their off days. Every company makes mistakes. This place doesn't care one way or the other, so good luck to you if you happen to "pick" one of those "off days." Or maybe they're actually very good at what they do and swindling is the reason they're able to afford rent everywhere. I don't know--but I'm never going back.
