Helpful, Friendly, Great Sales. I love YLR. I fell in love with this amazing floor lamp with laterns that was $200. They were having a sale and I asked if it was on sale. They told me it wasn't, but they could put it on sale for me. They marked it down to $140. I got home and I took the paper lanterns out of the box and there was a piece missing. When I went up there, they were very apologetic and opened another box right up and gave me a new one, no questions asked. Friendly, helpful, local. An Austin gem, not to be missed.
Sustainably grown is good. After looking all over Austin, we finally found a quality, modern styled bedroom set at YLR. The staff was helpful and professional. I felt good that our pieces were made using sustainably grown timber from a Canadian furniture manufacturer. Thanks YLR for being a part of Austin.
If off-the-beaten-path interior design and furnishings are your desire, look no further..
In Short
At the south end of Congress Avenue Bridge, the display windows are hard to miss. A pulsating club beat greets guests. Red leather chaise, zebra print sofas and a steel coffee table with a barber-style pump pick up the tempo. Dinner for eight? Seat your guests at a dining table at which each person's plate can rest on individual round glass sections held aloft by brushed steel. Other leather, steel and glass pieces help you fantasize about going modern.
Great Experience. Jonathan could not have been more helpful; he answered all of our questions, checked lots of price options, and generally spent a lot of time educating us about the various manufacturers and materials. We ended up ordering a dining room table and chairs, and it has arrived, only 2 weeks later. The store waived delivery charges and they are being delivered and set up tomorrow! We are very happy and would definitely buy from Your Living Room again.
very positive experience.
i have been looking at all the furniture stores around austin for months now (for a sofa and bar table)... YLR has the best design and variety that i have seen, and the prices are great for the quality.
(i went to eurway, urban living, copenhagen, star, aqua, thomasville, ethan allen, louis shanks...etc etc. and couldn't find a single thing worth buying)
i found the sales people (kristen) extremely helpful, and i think i probably look like the other reviewer -- someone who may not seem to have money on the outside, but is willing to spend it if it's good stuff.
Please Forgive Our Sour Faces. I wished to furnish an entire new flat just blocks from this store. On my 2 visits here noone acknowledged me at all and then seemed bothered when I tried to ask a question. If they are assuming I was not a big sale they made a big mistake. If they are just naturally sour faced they may want to hang a sign that says, please forgive our unpleasnt expressions, please don't take it personally, we don't know how to talk to people, feel free to look around anyway.
