Awesome Pizza!! – I love Conans Pizza, my favorite place to eat. Love the tavern style booths, the fantasy art, and the awesome pizza!! I like the deep dish savage and the thin veggie supreme.
Best Pizza in the world – Best pizza, toppings, variety freshness, great service and if you want soy cheese it's not extra charge and it really melts! Love the deep dish so much I've never tried the regular crust and I don't usually like deep dish.
Wouldn't make it in Chicago! – It's just not that good, better than Mangia's, which isn't saying much, but it's just not that good. Sometimes undercooked, then it's really awful.
A taste of Chicago in the heart of Austin. – In Short
If you like your pizza the way it's made in Chicago, come on over to Conan's for the real deep dish stuff. Vegetables galore, pepperoni or just lots and lots of cheese, Conan's makes it any way your heart desires. The thin crust on wheat is popular, and especially good with spinach, mushrooms and onions. Should you crave something other than pizza, check out the salads, sandwiches, and of course, spaghetti.
THEY DONT HAVE THAT HERE! – WHY I MOVED FROM AUSTIN TO OREGON, I'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND, I'D WALK BURNET ROAD IN MY BARE FEET IN AUGUST THROUGH TRAFFIC AT 2:00pm TO HAVE A CONAN'S PIE TO EAT,...IF I WAS BACK HOME IN AUSTIN.
Conan's Pizza - you be the judge – It's very likely Conan's version of Chicago's Deep Dish pizza falls short (possibly very short ) however based on the merits of its it's long standing record (which speaks for itself) Conan's Pizza kicks ass. Sure their delivery may not stellar - it's likely it may even be very sub-par, but come 'on man if your're going to be eating something that's not even good for you in the first place at least go out and pick it up yourself. All food places, including Conan's, have their good days and bad days. Conan's good days more than out weigh the very few number of bad days. In closing - don't let anyone talk you out of trying a Conan's pizza - you be the judge and you decide for youself - don't take my word or that of anyone else. I want to believe, that you'll be glad you did.
they think it's like a Chicago pizza – Being from Chicago Conan's Pizza is nothing like Chicago pizza. It's more like a sloppy joe of a pizza joint, all the ingredients are just thrown on the pizza.
Chicago style doesn't describe this place... – To say that Conan's pizza is Chicago style is like saying the Pope isn't old. This pizza is so far from Chicago style that I feel like I could get a better deep dish pizza in Zimbabwe. Both thin crust and deep dish from this horrid pizza place taste worst than any frozen pizza I have ever made in an oven. To say the least, I strongly recommend you to not go to Conan's for your own sake. You can thank me later after you savor the delicous pizza... I guarantee it will be better than what you would've had at Conan's.
SOOOO GOOD! – I first ordered Conan's because it is close to my boyfriends house and I was super hungry. I am so glad that I did! I think the wheat thick crust is the best! My belly thanks me everytime!
Great Pizza – I have had Mangia's and all the others, but nothing beats this pie especially when prepared at the 29th street (UT CAMPUS) location. The pizza rocks and only varies when cooking times are too short or too long. No matter what the SAVAGE rocks! I get the Savage with no anchovies and jalapenos on the side (since too hot of jalaps. can ruin a good pizza). The only thing I gave an awful rating was their service (not including the UT campus location). Their service at other locations is so so, but what do you expect from teenage/college kids who probably make minimum wage. The only pizza in Austin that ever compared (great Chicago style pizza) to Conan's was the now debunked Pantera's Pizza (one may still exist in San Marcos, Texas). Best wheat crust anywhere. ORDER THE SAVAGE W/O ANCHOVIES, JALAPENOS (ON SIDE)
