No Problems At All – Maintenance fixed everything we requested to be fixed! We've had no problems at all this year.
I Loved Living There! – They were very responable and respectful. I loved living here!
Fast acting on any problems I have and always check up on me afterwards. Very sincere people who care about their tenants.
very helpful and flexible – I really liked the rent reduction for signing a 2nd year. The maintenance men were very flexible and helpful..
Polite – Whenever we come into the office people are helpful and polite.
Great services – Speedy maintenance in an emergency situation (broken a/c) and easy to speak with someone at the office.
Relaxed atmosphere. Everything's pretty awesome really maybe get rid of the wasps around the pool. Very chill and yet still professional, great location, and treats renters like human beings!
Do Not Do Business With These People! – I've lived at Escalla at San Gabriel for two years now, and after this experience with Property Management of Texas, I will never do business with them again. My biggest complaint is that they take shortcuts and don't listen to their tenants.
In my two years here, I've had numerous problems.
1. Parking here is ALWAYS an issue. They claim to have parking permits (even in the lease) and will never give you one. Frat boys are always parking in our lot to the extent that tenants will have no place to park.Multiple people have talked to both the owner of the complex and the management company and they simply REFUSE to fix it (even though it's in the lease).
2. They like to brag about the pool area and the laundry unit on site, but don't be fooled. The tenants here trash the pool and the machines in the laundry unit BARELY work. I've reported them broken several times and they continue to do nothing about it. There's only 2 of each machine to begin with, but one of the washers is nearly always broken and the dryers don't dry. You will literally have to run the machine at least twice for a normal size load, up to 4 times with towels or sheets. You will end up saving lots of money and time going to a laundromat.
3. BUGS! Now, I understand that some people who are really dirty get bugs. I am not one of those people (you can see every inch of my floor that isn't covered by furniture). I've had continual bug problems at my apartment. Everything from roaches to horseflies to millipedes to ants. Once, I even found a preying mantis on my fridge. Oh, and don't forget the spiders. I killed a wolf spider that was the size of my palm just a couple of months ago. I actually feel lucky that I never had mice (unlike my poor neighbor). When she found the mice, they bought her some traps and called it a day- they didn't even prorate her rent. Just goes to show they don't care about their tenants.
4. Repairs. These people will only fix things that will damage their property. I've called them out to fix the door when it was leaving groove marks in the wood, and they were prompt. They were also prompt when my A/C went out the first time. The second time, it took them 3 days in JUNE and it still isn't right (i can only put it so low). The first day I moved in the handle broke off the microwave and one of my drawers broke and they STILL haven't fixed it even though I've put in multiple requests. You can trust Property Management of Texas to find the cheapest, quickest repair out there, one that probably won't hold. up.
I would never work with them again. I don't want them to screw over anyone else the way they did me, so consider yourself forewarned.
EDIT: shortly after i posted this, one of their realtors called me and asked me to remove the post if they would fix the parking and possibly the washer/dryers. That was probably a month ago and nothing is different. I continue to have more problems with them. because I'm a girl, the assume that " my apt is always clean" and so they like to show it, which they have been doing about every 4 days. This is really annoying, not to mention that the last time they showed it, they didn't call or even knock! they just decided to open the door regardless of what condition I was in on the other side. They have no respect for you or your privacy. As i was coming in just a few minutes ago, one of their crew was double parked and refused to move to allow me to park. I wanted to tell the potential leasee in the car not to do business with them. After all, if they're that RUDE to me, how do you think they will treat you? I'm moving out Sunday and CANNOT WAIT!
All in all, PMT is great and I plan to use them for the rest of my leases while in Austin.
Responsible and well mannered – The leasing agent was informative and kind during the application lease signing process. Their response time was very punctual. The tenants all paid and were very responsible and well mannered.
