Great experience – I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Scholl. He is always knowledgeable and patient. He gives you his professional opinion in a no frills kind of way. Other physicians are very quick to offer the more expensive options so that they may collect a paycheck. He is very realistic about the results he can provide and offers suggestions based on experience.

As for the long wait times others have experienced, I did not have any problem with this. I was seen promptly as scheduled. However, I have found in the past that when a doctor gets off schedule it is usually because they had to take care of an unexpected event with a patient, often times a serious one. I know if I were that patient, I would want them to take their time to help me.

Two strikes – Took my son to see Dr. Scholl for regular and profuse nose bleeds. The other reviewers gave a good picture of Dr. Scholl--his abilities and quirks--and I will say he fixed my son up just fine, BUT we waited over an hour past the appt time to see the dr. No "Thanks for waiting," apologies, or acknowledgment from his staff or him.

So, 30 mins before the next appt. I called and asked if they were on schedule. They put me on hold to check, and then told me that they were not behind today. We showed up on time and AGAIN waited for an hour. Unacceptable.

Waiting that long for a scheduled appt is a pet peeve of mine. (1) I freelance, so time is money. (2) I had to take my son out of school for the appt and it fried me to have him miss classes with his demanding schedule to sit idly in a drs. office. (3) I had to pay for the extra wait time in parking garage fees.

I would never recommend going to this ENT office unless you do not mind waiting and waiting to be seen...and from our experience and the cavalier way the office treated such delays, it must be a regular situation.

Might not be the ENT for everyone. – I like this guy personally. Talking about traffic or kids, it's all good. But when we got down to business, I couldn't get a word in edgewise. For example, he said that I did have a deviated septum, but there was no sense in fixing it since I didn't come into his office complaining that I couldn't breathe out of my nose. Problem is, I couldn't. I tried to tell him my symptoms and he just said it was allergies and a couple years of steroids might clear me up. I've done that already, and it didn't. I felt a bit rushed and a bit like he didn't think I knew what I was talking about. Believe me, I've lived with sinus and allergy problems all my life, and reached the end of my rope by the time I saw him. The last thing I needed was to be told, "Hey, you held in there for 40 years, what's another two or three?"

Excellent surgeon, great personality – Dr. Scholl did sinus surgery on me almost 2 years ago and changed my life. The recovery was smooth and there were no complications. He has a great sense of humor and is always willing to take the time to answer questions and alleviate fears. My kids saw him too and, although he is great with them, he is not as gentle as the pediatric ENT folks in town. I would still recommend him for kids but just not as strongly as for adults.
