If you are not a regular you will not get good service – After reading a lot of the reviews I was was suprised on the feedback on good food and burgers. Boulevard can be a good place to go if you just want a drink but if they made an effort on the food it would be a much better place. I live right by the boulevard and have been stopping in for the past 6 years. I like I can get a drink and kick back and wactch a game for awhile but the food is really bad and the if you are not a regular at the place you should expect 2nd hand service

Best Option in Far West for a burger and a beer – I love the Boulevard. I starting going here about a year ago and I am back at least twice a week. I drive from Anderson Mill down to FW for this place. Great food, good drink prices, and great bartenders. This is def a local haunt that I love to visit.

this place should get NO stars – We waited 10 minutes to be "seen" for our drink orders. then another waiter came and took our burger order. 45 minutes later, and several trips up to ask them what was taking so long, the staff were very dismissive and acted like it wasn't their fault. They kept saying it was a computer problem. The waiter came and gave us all kinds of excuses, but he was defensive from the start. I mean, mistakes happen. Whether it's your fault or not, waiters have been apologizing since time began for things like this. Just say you're sorry. You don't have to offer us a drink or comp anything. Just say look, I'm really sorry that happened! The burger was decent but our waiter never apologized for the eons it took, and the fact that others came in after us and got their food. He kept saying it was a computer problem. well, that's fine! just say, I'm sorry! That was a simple thing that we would have just accepted. Instead, he kept acting like we were the ones with a problem. The bartender ignored us, and the waitress was busy flirting with regular customers. It was the oddest experience ever. It's like they took one look at us and we were shunned. we were wearing normal clothes, dressed nicely, not cussing or acting rudely. I will never go back there.

Daily Specials, $2 domestic drafts sun night, obscure online menu – I first went there sunday night, and was delighted about the $2 domestic drafts. Their kitchen closed at 9, but this wasn't much of an issue. the atmosphere was very casual. although they do not have a website, you can find their menu online at their myspace page, username = "theboulevardgrill" (add that to the end of myspace's home address.

I've seen the boulevard grill many times in my 23 years in austin, but this was my first time to go in. I just moved into the neighborhood, and i anticipate frequenting this restaurant.

specials: . . . .

mon: 2for1 burgers, with french fries or coleslaw. ($7-$8) . . . .

tues: fiesta night- free chips & salsa, moderate deals on fajitas/enchiladas . . . .

Wed: same as tuesday . . . .

Thurs: 2for1 Chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken with 2 sides, $8.25 . . . .

Fri: All-you-can-eat fried catfish with french fries & coleslaw: $6.75 . . . .

Sat: same as Monday . . . .

Sun: Same as Thurs . . . .

*** note: specials according to myspace profile's menu as of 8/20/07. posted just to help others know what's going on. I'm not affiliated with the restaurant at all, I too had trouble finding an online menu. All specials require drink purchases (anything not water, according to my waitress), they are also dine in only.

Great Neighborhood Grill/Bar with the best hamburgers in NW Austin. – This neighborhood grill/bar serves up great food in a fun atmosphere. They have some of the best lunch/dinner specials and there are always great drink specials. It is very cozy and a great place to meet clients and/or friends to chat or watch the game. Staff is very friendly although service is a bit slow at times but well worth the wait. Their burgers are some of the best in town with yummy buns and a great selection of beers.

Don't waste your time – Based on the Citysearch reviews of Boulevard Bar & Grill, my husband ordered a jalapeno cheeseburger along with other items for the rest of my party of 4. Our drinks came quickly and we watched the football game. After 45 minutes we questioned our server about our meal. He said he would check on it. He returned to tell us the kitchen was having trouble with my "veggie" burger. I explained that no one had ordered a veggie burger, he was surprised. He returned and told us that he had made a mistake and our order would be right out. He brought us an order of chips (ice cold) and salsa (too salty to eat) on the house. Another 15 minutes passed and he reassured us the food would be right out. Another 10 minutes went by and our meal finally arrived. By then we were all starving but even our hunger could not improve what turned out to be a merely adequate burger and decent (not great) fries. It was our first (and last) visit to Boulevard Bar & Grill.
