Damaged bag? Take it to James! – My family gave me a Louis Vuitton computer bag for Mother's Day. My daughter's dog chewed a chunk our of the bottom right near the seam. I took it to James Hawkings at the Austin Shoe Hospital at 3300 Bee Caves Rd, and he patched the hole with the Louis Vuitton material (it's a mystery to me where he took it from), so that it looks like a small tab that serves some purpose. I would never know it had been damaged! I am so happy with his work - I'll always take damaged shoes or bags to James' shop before giving up on them!! Thank you, James.
Best shoe repair in Texas – The work is meticulous and painstaking. When I showed the shoes to Stuart Weitzman store personnel they could not believe how perfect the repair was. I have now taken five pairs of shoes for refurbishing and each pair is better than new!
Great cobbler/shoemaker/repair place – I've always had great experiences going to this location of the austin shoe hospital. James is always there, polite, knowledgeable about the repair process and ready to make recommendations about what is needed to repair my item. In five years of frequenting this establishment, I've never had a bad experience and appreciate the timely manner in which my items are attended to. Often when I pick up my repair, it is difficult to find which area that was the repaired spot, since the workmanship quality is so good. Thanks, James!!!! You are appreciated, and I bring ALL my repairs to your store. Thanks for doing such quality work in such a reasonable time! Great location, great service.
Thank you for your feedback and your kind words. We will relay your note to James and appreciate your continued business.
Never go here...terrible servcie, incompetent owners – Where to begin....I dropped off a pair of zippered boots over 4 months ago now....still don't have them.
They first said it would be 6 weeks because they only had one person who fixed zippers....fine, no big deal. I called after 6 weeks or so, not ready, but "It won't be long...."....then after another 4 weeks or so, call again...."It won't be long....", then I find out the person who fixes zippers was out on medical leave and is just now getting to them. Whatever, I'm STILL patient...even though most people would have given up. I have now called about 10 times in the last two weeks and they can't seem to locate the shoes....WOW....unbelieveable. I get the runaround every time I call....they act as if they have all day to do this....BOTTOM LINE....HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE SERVICE, JUST PLAIN HORRIBLE.....I don't ever write reviews for things like this, but this was so bad, they deserve a poor rating.

Like Brand New! – I just got back two pairs of shoes that I sent to Austin Shoe Hospital. They polished up the leather, added a new sole, and fixed the heels that had been worn down to nothing. My shoes look brand new!!!! I spent less than $50 and would have had to spend triple that for a new pair! The shoes were ready when they said they were and the staff was very helpful. I will definitely return!!
We are happy to hear that you were pleased with your shoe repair service and that the shoes look like new. Thank you for your support of locally owned businesses and your kind words.
Need to work on their customer service – My shoes were misplaced for 3 days after their scheduled pick-up time with no call or explanation. When I finally received a call, they said sorry & that my shoes were ready. When I arrived, I received no personal apology & still had to pay for the service done. I made it clear that my shoes were needed for a special occassion & they weren't ready in time (they had been delivered to store 13 instead of store 3). Too bad for me; I won't go back.

Editorial Review – Since 1906, Texas shoe repair chain polishes, dyes and fixes boots and heels as well as luggage, handbags and belts.
My Shoes are Like New! – I beat up my favorite pair of heals just be everyday wear and a few too many late nights downtown. The heal had dwindled down and there wasn't much left to the sole. Austin Shoe Hospital did a great job, and my shoes look brand new! I couldn't be happier with the results!
Thank you for your feedback and your kind words. We are pleased to hear that your shoes are looking like new again and that you were happy with the service. Thank you for your continued business.
