Best Swill in Austin – My friend and I were going to T&S Chinese Restaurant for Sunday's Dim Sum (11-2), but the line was one mile long, so we decided to give La Parrilla a try. We ordered oyster, shrimp, and fish. They served us swill. The cost of the swill was $32.98, the tax was $2.72, so we were expecting the total to be around $35.70; but no. They had it programmed in the cash register to add some number to the total. So we got a bill for $37.70 or something like that. My friend has the receipt, I don't remember the exact number. So, beware of the cash register. It will overcharge you.

User review by kitcookiekat – The refried beans were tasteless, but everything else was really good. Plus, the beans were ok tasteless cuz I ate em with some meat, so then it tasted great. They don't put "spicy" symbols next to dishes on the menu, so you have to ask how spicy the dish is if you're a sensitive one: my boyfriend ordered Tinga, and it was REALLY GOOD but very spicy. I love spiciness though. I ordered the 3 taco special: as served, it wasn't great tasting, but after I asked for more salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, it was awesome!--The service was great. What tasted even better was eating some Tinga meat with my taco. The dessert menu looked really good; I wanted to order some but got too full.

In my neighborhood – I live near this place and have stopped in for a meal on atleast 4 occasions. I kept going back because I wanted to give it another chance -- big mistake! The food in this place is awful -- the salsa's watery, the refried beans pasty, the meats foul. Even the iced tea was bad. I don't how they stay in business. (Maybe it's because they are next-door to a nightclub and so most people who eat there are drunk?)

Oh yeah, and nobody could speak english and my spanish is rough, so ordering was a big hassle.
