Great Pet Care – I have used Willow Creek for 20 years, They were reccomeneded by my parents who have also been using them for over 20 yrs. They are almost always open and my pets seem to have emergencies on holidays. When I adopted my lab 10 yrs ago I had her spayed elsewhere because of the adoption contract. When I picked her up they didn't give me any after care instructions or offer any additional pain meds. I called Willow Creek when I got home and explained the situation. They gave after care instructions and how to use my deceased dogs pain meds that I already had at home. Thier staff is very friendly and the doctors knowledgeable and compassionate. Their prices may be a little more but I believe in you get what you pay for and my pets are part of my family. They deserve "Nordstrom's service" over "Walmart service"
Best Pet Care Available!! – I have been using Willow Creek for over 20 years. Their boarding, training, grooming and veterinary services are by far the best I have come across. Every experience has left me feeling that I was treated fairly and my pet received the finest care available. I am extremely confident in their abilities since they offer the most advanced procedures available and their employees/veterinarians are constantly being trained and educated with the newest methods. I have recommended them to numerous people and have never been disappointed. I recently sent a coworker to Willow Creek, and they were able to save her dogs eye after another clinic told her it would have to be removed!
"Exceptional Care for Exceptional Pets" -- That's right! – I have been taking my pets to WCPC for over twenty years. The facilities are impeccable, the staff is attentive and caring, the veterinarians are amazingly gifted, and they offer every service imaginable: hospital, grooming, boarding, training, pet products, etc.
My pets are part of my family, and I know I take better care of them than I do myself. I have great confidence in the care they receive at WCPC. One of my favorite things about the clinic is that they offer very advanced procedures that most animal hospitals do not have, such as laser, ultra sound, and digital x-rays. It's very comforting to know that all of my pets' needs can be met at one place.
I recommend this clinic to all of my family and friends.
Boarding, vet care, grooming – I love this place! Everyone at willow creek knows my dog by name and he pulls me across the parking lot to get in. They give him lots of extra TLC when I leave him for boarding. When he was neutered , Dr . Barney was fantastic. My dog had eaten a bunch of foreign objects, which thanks to Dr.Barney and his staff, the found and removed during his original procedure. There grooming staff is amazing. He loves his spa day. Love u guys!
STAY AWAY if you care about the health of your pet! – I heard from a lot of people that this place was amazing for boarding. My little dog never, ever gets sick, but after 4 days of boarding, she came back with a respiratory infection which Willow Creek charged me over $100 in vet fees and medication to cure. I decided to give them another chance and after 3 days of boarding recently, my dog, who usually weighs in healthy at just over 6 pounds, was 4.5 pounds. That's 30% of her body weight in 3 days. She was incredibly thin, lathargic, and wimpering constantly. It completely broke my heart. I didn't fully notice the severity of her weight loss until I really looked at her on the drive home. She immediately went for the water bowl where she drank more in one sitting than I have ever seen her drink. She wouldn't eat her dog food so I gave her health treats, bits of meat, etc. She fell right asleep for a few hours and after she woke up she ate a ton of her dog food, and she fell asleep again. Luckily she seems to be recovering nicely.
I will never, ever trust Willow Creek to care for my pet. I paid $80 for Willow Creek to put my dog in a cage for 3 days and starve her, and not even make sure her water bowl was full. I took my pet to another vet to document her malnurished and severely underweight condition, and I plan on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
All I see are teenagers walking the pets and ushering them back and forth to the owners and I have come to doubt that any licensed professional is actually caring for the pets boarded over there. They couldn't even call me if they saw she wasn't eating, or even care enough to make sure her water was full. She was wimpering because she was hurting because of both thirst and hunger. If you care about your pets being cared for instead of left and neglected, do not board them here.
Not satisfied at all with Bee Sting treatment – I sadly must agree that they are all about making money. We took our 16 week old puppy in after she was stung by a bee because she is only a tiny 4 pound yorkie. I called and said she was stung by a wasp (I pulled it out of her mouth)and she was having problems breathing. They said to IMMEDIATLY bring her in for a benadryl shot and anti inflammatory shot which I did. They said they were going to keep her to observe her because her tongue/face was swollen to make sure medicine worked. Fine, very worried about her. They called a few hours later, picked her up brought her home. She was laying on my lap totally exhausted when lo and behold I saw something sticking out of her lip? It was the STINGER to the bee, they NEVER removed it after "observing" her for THREE hours! Pathetic and sad, my husband pulled it out while I held her down. Had a huge bill for that and they didn't even see/look/ or care enough to remove the stinger! Will not return. If anyone knows a good vet please let me know. thanks
not satisfied with employees or prices at all! – First off they had not the most knowledgable staff, my 5 mo old puppy had to stay the night there to be put on IV, before i left they told me a tech would stay and take care of the animals there, when we picked him up he had pee all over him, and eye boogers that were not cleaned off, the completely over charged me, they did not give me back the bone i had bought my pup for the night he stayed there, my pup acted like he was going to die when we picked him up, he usually loves anyone, and i could tell by his reaction, that he was very unhappy there!
I will not ever return here for my pups care.
Negligence, substandard – Our dog had a femur fracture plated at WCPC. The plate/screws quickly failed. We took our dog back to WCPC and they splinted his femur with a very sketchy, poor looking splint. That splint quickly slid down his leg and the dog appeared to be in more pain. We took him back again for a second splint, and they put on another one that seemed to do little to immobilize his leg. During the second splint application, we never saw the vet, never got to talk to him, only the techs. We asked the techs if the doc saw him, and they said "Yes, everything is fine".
Our dog was miserable and getting worse, so we took him elsewhere to see an orthopedic specialist. The orthopedic doctor told us that WCPC had put in too small of a plate, put the screws in improperly, and that the tramadol dosing from WCPC was out of the standard range.
Needless to say, we will never go to WCPC again. Mainly because their communication is so poor. They don't return phone calls or emails in a reasonable, timely manner. Their care is substandard. And their vets get in over their heads during procedures that they should clearly refer out to others.
To be fair, and not just another internet whiner: They told us that steps would not hurt our dog. We have minimal steps in our house to go outside, we used them only when the dog had to relieve himself. One time he tripped on the step, perhaps injuring his plates/femur. The rest of the time he was completely immobilized and kept down. Our discontent lies in the fact that WCPC said "everything is fine" when his leg had developed a worsening fracture from the plates/screws ripping out.
Honesty and communication go a long ways in gaining trust. WCPC has lost our trust.
Very Friendly – We took our dog in to get seen. She was extremely sick and in a lot of pain. We didn't have much money to pay for all the services but they worked out a payment plan with us that made it so much easier to pay for services. We sadly had to put our dog down. The workers made our whole family feel as comfortable as possible. They did a private service in the room with us and gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. After putting her down they gave us a clay print of our dogs paw for free. They also gave my two year old daughter an otter pop to cheer her up and a stuffed dog so that she didn't leave without a dog. They also gave us refreshments because we stayed there for so long crying and greiving over our beloved dog.
Willow Creek Pet Center is great – Have attended multiple dog training sessions with complete satisfaction.
