AWESOME SPOT – This is a great place to go and de-stress as one of the previous reviews mentioned. The music is good. (it's changed since some of these earlier posts.) The price is EXCELLENT. ($6) The DJ knows what he's doing. The crossovers are easy to follow as you dance, the music is a good pace you can dance to.(definitely club dance, not slow like hip hop, but not crazy like electro.)

The music is no longer electro. There are some electro songs, but they are mostly top 40 dance remixes. There was a comedy show at about midnight. I personally found it to be in bad taste, which is fine because you can just go chill outside and grab a drink. A really good club. I would agree with the post about the immaturity. There are definitely young people that dry giggity for attention, but overall like I said a great club.

I'll be back!

Clu Sound Bound – Although it could be a bit more spacious and redone (the cement floors are cracking due to wear and tear), its a pretty good joint. Friday nights are Gay/Lesbian night (also known as Gossip). Me and most of my friends are straight and we honestly have a better time on Fridays!!! Nova Starr is hilarious and the drag shows are fun to watch. They put a lot of effort into their dance routines. As far as music, I've only been Friday and Saturdays so, Fridays are a lot of top 40's Pop/Rock and some dance mixes, Saturdays are mainly techno, house, electronica, hardcore techno, trance ect. They have some pretty good Dj's that keep the vibe going. The 21+ areas (bar, upstairs and upstairs outdoor patio that overlooks SLC) have always been nice places to chill out and relax after dancing and the drinks are great!!! There is a small bar in the back of the club for the under-age clubbers to grab water, sodas and glowsticks!!! The double dance floors are great and the back is the main place for people to do their glowstick and light shows, as well as some areas to sit on couches. The main downside I've noticed is the little teeny-bopper girls thinking its cute to feign s*x, blowjobs and other tacky inappropriate acts on the guys against the walls and dance floors but I guess no matter where you go your always going to have to put up with the "Club Wh*res", some people have an extreme need to get attention no matter what way it is so what can you do. The outside/street parking can be a b**ch so GO EARLY. Other than that, its a great place to hang out and chill with your friends after a very long week. The bouncers have always been nice, the bartenders are courteous, cover charge is $7. I've always gone home from Club Sound feeling 100% destressed.

Something you may want to know about Friday Nights – I have never actually written a review before, but when i went to this club, i felt that i should. Im not sure how often this site updates their information, but there was a lot of detail i wasn't informed about. On the side it says "Electronica, Techno, and Alternative rock." I would say 9/10 of the songs were R&B or Hip Hop. The biggest thing you need to know, based on first hand experience, if you want to come to this club to meet girls, dont come on a Friday night. Friday night is gay night. Why this site says ladies get in free on Fridays, i have no idea. My lady friend had to pay full admission to get in, and once we were inside it wasn't the scene or crowd i had expected at all.I still had a fun time, the crowd was still active, people seemed pretty nice, and the lights were pretty awesome, Just keep in mind that Friday isn't the night to go meet women. There were quite a few girls there still, but I'm sure there would have been lots more on any other night.

I love sound – Club sound is one of the best venues SLC has for electronic music at the moment. The multi-level dance floor is a definite plus. It is true that there are alot of "ravers" that attend these events, they are plenty of those who are not and go for the love of the music, and for the great dj's that are brought out. Security is lame but they arnt too bad. They let you bring in your own lights and bandanas compared to saltair where they are modern day nazi's. Very pretty girls. It is sad to see how desperate some of the young boys are to get a feel for these girls. Other than that, sound is a great venue!!!!

drinkers should avoid this place – They rarely anticipate the over 21 crowd, so plan on spending about 30 minutes to get a drink. I really like it when shows are in Club Sound (its smaller venue), because you have better odds. It's a great place to see shows, with the balcony and all, but when 150 people are in the drink line and in near riot mood (they usually only have 3 bartenders) it really kills it for me

Visit this club and see that Salt Lake City is more diverse than you think. – The Scene
The outdoor patio and the roof are the most mellow spots in an already laid-back club. They're the perfect areas to take a breather, socialize with friends and observe the vibe of the club below. The dance floor extends outside the club, allowing for relaxed conversation. The main floor is for those 18 and up; 21 and over for the roof and much of the patio. The private club requires membership, and cover charges vary from night to night, so call ahead if you're money-minded.

The Draw
Patrons looking to groove choose Bricks for the alcohol. And it flows freely. With three alcoholic bars and one non-alcoholic bar, you don't need to walk far to fill up.
