Best drip coffee in town.
I can't say anything about the espresso or other candy coffee drinks served here, but
as a seven-year resident of Seattle, I can say that the French roast here is the best I've
ever had. Extremely consistent, and quite strong. As usual, don't bother with anything
called "house blend" or any light-roast exotica. Outstanding.
Highland Review. I have been a loyal customer at the Highland location for 10 years. I have noticed a huge decline in the quality and personality of the store on Highland. The manager is too busy on her phone to talk to the customers and I found out today my long-time favorite employee had been fired. I am giving my business to the Sugarhouse location and staying away from the problematic Highland Location.
A full-service fueling station for folks seeking a morning coffee rush..
The Scene
At the location of a former gas station, Cafe Expresso is a popular morning stop for people on the go. At times, the drive-up window in the small, white structure has a line of cars stretching around the corner. A bouquet of fresh flowers and dog biscuits on the counter are welcoming touches for people and pooches, but this place is not designed for lingering.
The Drinks
Gourmet brewed coffee--roasted by Meridian Coffee Co.--includes a house blend, French, Guatemalan and a daily decaf. Specialty coffee drinks range from the basic Americano (espresso with hot water) to lattes and mochas. Available in four sizes from "short" to "mondo," these specialty drinks are priced from $1 to $3.50. Granita, a frozen mocha, is especially popular in the summer, but most drinks can be ordered either hot or cold. Chai, hot chocolate and Italian sodas are alternatives for those who have sworn off coffee. Snacks are limited to muffins, biscotti and cookies.
nice service, but weak coffee. Disclaimer: I'm from Portland, OR, so a good cup of coffee to me is strong. I've been to Cafe Expresso a few times and the first cup of coffee I got there was great- good and strong, but the next couple were in the morning when they were busier and the coffee was pretty weak and not so good.
Fastest cup in the West. I don't go here as often as I used to, but whenever I do, I always get the friendliest service from the best looking counter people of any coffee joint around. BTW, I normally go to the one on Redwood Road. I've been known to drive 10 miles out of my way just for a mocha and smile. Great prices, too!
giving me that morning jolt. Every morning this is the first place on my list they have the best iced mocca anywhere and very fast friendly service- always remembering to give my son a special treat
best in the west. I found this coffee shop to be excelent. They had nice workers.I love this coffee shop
In N Out Coffee. No one else is faster or friendlier than Cafe Expresso. And the coffee is good everytime (unlike many others in town, where it's hit and miss *cough*beans and brews *cough*).
Friendly place. Great coffee, served fast by friendly people. I wish I had a dog, 'cos they get great service, too!
