The Scene
Moda Italia is elegance incorporated--the closest thing we have to a Park Avenue boutique. Does it owe its 16 years of success to the prime downtown corner-store location? Or does the clothing sell itself? Either way, Moda Italia is arguably Utah's premier suit shop.
The Goods
Most men shop at Moda for the Italian suits--imported straight from Biella, Italy. And while the suits are indeed splendid, there's an equally impressive selection of casual shirts, trousers, jackets and ties. Fabrics range from delicate silks and cashmere to quality wool and cotton broadcloth. Suits are the staples here. Choose from two- or three-button, traditional double-breasted, pinstripe and more. You'll pay between $500 and $2,000 for a complete suit. Steep as it sounds, you can actually find a nice sport coat for as low as $350.
