BEST vet place EVER!!! Awesome experience!!! – I went to cottonwood animal hospital on a emergency trip for my puppy when he was throwing up a lot and not eating one day! They were very nice and greeted me when I walked in and were very concerned about my pup and him being sick! The place was immaculate and seemed like a "human" emergency room! The vet was very fast to see us and genuinely cared a lot about our little 14 week old puppy! We ended up finding out our puppy had a very contagious virus called Parvo and needed to be hospitalized until he was better! The VET (Dr. Anderson) called us every night and every morning to give us updates on him so we knew every step of his Maddux's (my puppy) recovery. He made us feel very comforted that Maddux was in good hand and given the best possible care he could get, so he could fight this virus! He stayed in their ICU for 3 days and then was released! I was very very impressed with cottonwood animal hospital in Salt Lake City, UTAH and would recommend them to anyone who truly cares about their animal! Dr. Anderson is also AMAZING and we will ALWAYS have Maddux or any of our other animals go through him from now on for ANY medical needs! :)

Highly recommend Cottonwood Animal Hospital!

Very Disappointed – My vetinary from Dancing Cats perscribed Soloxine .01 mg (1/2 tablet a day) my cat who had Iodine therapy a year ago showed zero thyroid and weighed in at 17.7 pounds, he now had hypothyroid... so she perscribed this along with new food for diabetes due to his weight. My cat bandit had a bad reaction from the drug and he started foaming at the mouth a few hours later. I called Dancing Cats Vet clinic back and she said to do 1/4 tablet for 3 days and go back on the 1/2 tablet which i did as she said... Well, that night my cat who was upstairs on the bed, fell off and started having seizures, it was awful, i tried to call dancing cats and they referred me to Cottonwood Animal hospital after hours clinic. I got there and the Vet Dr. Neal said that in his medical field he never heard about the drug Soloxine causing seizures, that once my cat had seizures he would probably have more..B.S!! The cat never had them and never took drugs in his life!!I decided to put my cat down because of taling it over with him and money issues I had and test that would need to be run on him.. i was unemployed at the time so I had to borrow from my boyfriend to put my cat down there, all because of thinking my cat would have more like he said. This was a special cat to me that I had for 11 years. I went home and started researching this drug on line for side effects, I am a health nut who takes vitamins and who does not believe in drugs because I know the side effects I have on certain medications. I ended up finding a forum on this drug Soloxine where people talked about the side effects from this drug on their dogs and cats and it was seizures and when they stopped the med's there animal was fine. I want to let people know how dangerous this drug is so that they can benefit from my loss. I now wished I never went to CottonWood and was given this advice. I should have researched it before I went there to tell these Dumb Vets!!.. I spent over $250.00 that night and asked for a refund later because I put my cat down because of thinking of seizures and vet bills. Cotton Wood wrote me a letter saying that they felt it is not in their best interest to remove the charges. Between them and Dancing Cats...and the little knowledge on this drug,or the fact it was an o.d amount... I can say at least dancing cats refunded me all bandits charges and blood tests they felt bad on what happend. The neglagence of this drug and the stupidity of Cotton Wood Vet Clinic not knowing a thing about it and side effects to help me in my decision making to give my cat a chance and take him off of it due to the side effects. NEVER AGAIN! I am from Nashville, Tennessee and I moved here 8 months ago. I have gone to another vet in town Dr Jerry Osguthorpe on my 2nd cat who had breathing problems and he gave him a shot for allergic reaction and antiobodics, next day my cats panting and I call him and he tells me to wait another day and give it time..I told him I would go to another vet that this was an emergency!!, on my way to another new Vet my cat dies in the car!! Utah sucks for Vets here!

Hands Down Bagley is the Best Vet we know!!! – We have multiple pets. Bagley has treated them all. He is consistently attentive to our needs and has had to help us make hard decisions about surgery and euthenasia. Trust your pets to Cottonwood - but in particular, do not hesitate to request Dr. Bagley. His compassion helped us put a beloved pet to sleep yesterday....

Very disappointed – We had a dog with chronic diarrhea. He was diagnosed with Giardiasis by cottonwood and was given high doses of Metronidazole for a long period of time. The diarrhea didn't go away then the vet kept telling us possible diseases including IBD, pancreatic enzyme deficiency, food allergy, and etc. We spent thousands of dollars experimenting different solutions, paying for their expensive prescription diet food, extremely expensive pancreatic enzymes, pancreatic enzyme tests, medications, office visits, and fecal exams...

After we had been through so much mental torture and our dog taking almost half a year of metranidazole and prednisone (this is a very harmful drug for taking long period of time), they told us they were clueless and suggested surgery.

We then switched to another vet and in the first visit, he told us our dog had campylobacter in the stool and prescribed us erythromycin. And that ends our misery fighting for dog diarrhea for half a year! I can't believe Cottonwood was not able detect this bacteria in the stool after at least 5 stool examinations! Or I suspect that maybe they just wanted to make more money from us and kept telling us to spend more money on food, tests, exams and office visits! They are really unprofessional, uncaring and all they want is money.

I would recommend you to avoid Cottonwood!

Extremely happy! – Our Golden Retriever/Lab mix was diagnosed with a condition in his shoulder that needed surgery. We looked around at vets who could perform this surgery and were given quotes that were outrageous. Then I talked to Dr. Bagley at Cottonwood Animal Hospital who said he would do the surgery, and at a more reasonable price. We went ahead and had the surgery done and my Max is doing wonderful! There were additional costs that incurred during the surgery, but Dr. Bagley kept his word and stuck to the original price quote. Max had his two week check up and he is further progressed than what is expected at this point. We would definitely recommend Dr. Bagley to anyone!

When it comes time not to wait... – I just returned from the clinic. Our dog had an in grown dew claw and we could tell it was causing her pain and discomfort. We also could see that it might be infected. We were greeted promptly and taken to an exam room where we were seen by a tech and of course the vet. who gave us the time we needed and answered all of our questions about what to expect and what the course of her treatment would be. They took her back and they took care of her in a rather quick amount of time. I live in Tooele and the drive was worth the trouble. I am impressed with the clinic and I am going to use them as my regular Vet even tho I will have to travel its worth it to us to have our baby in the best hands. Thank you to the wonderful staff for all your help and concern we are grateful and may god bless you.

Great care. Moderately expensive – We have been going here for 5 years. Initially we worked with Dr. Law and more recently with Porter. I trust their clinical skills - I'm an RN and it is obvious to me they are good. We had one cat with kidney disease that Dr. Law helped us with...Dr. Porter later put that cat down and that was a great experience given the circumstances. I just got back from the vet, our other cat had 3 of his canine teeth extracted...I'm $900 lighter but the cat is ok. We have been to American Paws and Willow Creek too. Willow Creek was actually even more expensive and I felt like a number. American Paws seemed less skilled. All in all, Cottonwood Animal Hospital is a great place.

PRETTY GOOD – COTTONWOOD HAS A GOOD REPUTATION AND DESERVES IT. THE VET'S ARE PROS. SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THE PLACE, BUT IN AN EMERGENCY THEY ARE EXCELLENT.

Please do not take your pet here – After releasing my dog saying that she was better she came home only to die. Nothing was adjusted on the huge bill. So much for my loss.

The only veterinary office good enough for my dogs. – I don't typically write reviews, but I read some of the negative reviews on here and wanted to give my opinion. I've been a client of Cottonwood Animal Hospital for over 10 years. I have always been treated well and my three dogs have all received very high quality care. My dogs have had many surgeries and procedures done there over the years and I would never visit another veterinary office. I have recently been seeing Dr. Cox and he has always gone out of his way to explain various options and costs. He also is very patient with my many questions.

I have had to visit during their emergency care hours and have never regretted going there. As a matter of fact, that was one of the reasons I chose Cottonwood Animal Hospital. There is a veterinarian on site 24 hours as day, as opposed to other offices which only have a vet on call.

Cottonwood isn't the least expensive veterinary office in the valley, but they are also not the most expensive. I believe their pricing is moderate, but I'm willing to pay for quality when it comes to my pets.
