Thanks for allowing my dad to suffer!!!!!!!! – I've only had one experience with them, not by choice. My dad was put in hospice care for his last days of life. He arrived at home on a Monday morning. The Hospice nurses told me that by Monday evening, I would receive relaxation drugs for my dad so he would not be so restless and agitated. It was about 7pm and the nurse had called to see if we received the drugs. We had not. She called the Westbury Pharmacy (who handles the processing and delivery of the drugs) and they said they would still bring it. Still 9pm, nothing. I didn't feel like I could call and bother the nurses because I had called a few times already. My dad had a horrible night because he was really restless, couldn't sleep, and kept my mom up all night. At the time we just thought that was the way it was. Now thinking back, had Wesbury delivered his drugs, he would have been fine. It was the next morning and the nurse called us to see if we received the drugs. no ma'am. She was livid. She said she called them to deliver ASAP. It was about Tuesday mid-afternoon when we finally received the drugs, no apologies, just here you. At the time I guess I could have said something but my dad was dying and my mind was on him. I was just happy to receive them. After he left, we found out we were missing something else. The nurse had to call them to redeliver. They did a few hours later, much quicker but still. I've always thought they were too busy to be efficient and accurate. This just proves my point! One thing I learned is, if you have a family member dying. you need stand up for them, no matter how rude or bothersome you might be to other people. I wish I had known this then.
Wonderful Caring People both Pharmacy & Gallery – Each time we have had a medical issue we find solutions at Westbury Pharmacy. I had to have surgery and I needed some at home care supplies for aftercare. Westbury employees showed compassion and great knowledge in assisting me. They special ordered me some supplies that they didn't have and didn't charge me extra. Other pharmacies have done this before and charged me for the special orders. I also shop at the Westbury Gallery while waiting for my orders to be fulfilled. They are delightful and friendly. We especially like going there at Christmas and Easter for the specialty holiday items. I highly recommend them when you are looking for items for your home that add that little extra special detail to a sitting room or public entertaining area.
The absolute WORST experience I have had in years... – I first stumbled upon Westbury by googling an item that has been discontinued. In my searching, I came across pictures of said item on Westbury's site. Not hesitating and deeming them to be a trustworthy site, I purchased 3 bottles. Many days later (problem #1) I FINALLY received my shipment, only to open it and find that it was NOT what I was expecting. (problem #2). I immediately called and was hung up on twice by two different "customer service representatives". (problems #3 and #4) Not only is their music that they make you listen to so utterly annoying, even if they are just trying to transfer you to another division to answer your ridiculously easy to answer question, they make you listen to the ENTIRE song. EVERY TIME. (problem #5)So, I finally reach someone, and he has zero sympathy for the situation, doesn't even apologize, and says that by that night (mind you I called at 1030am!- problem #6)I would have a UPS shipping number and confirmation email sent to me. I did not receive that (suprise, suprise) on time, but did in fact receive it the next day around 3pm. (problem #7) I then called back today and while telling the first customer service representative what had happened, she cut me off, and transfered me to another division who was said to be shipping. I then got to listen to their fabulous soundtrack. Again. For an ENTIRE song. (problem #8) A lady finally answered and when she heard that I was a customer, she immediately put me back on hold (problem #9) and then either on purpose, or on accident, she hung up on me. (problem #10) I called back absolutely furious, and while relaying my frustration, was told to hold on again (problem #11) and then sent to the wrong division. (problem #12). The guy that answered there listened for .2 seconds before telling me that I had been transfered to yet another "wrong department". problem #13) Really? Do they not have a list of extensions of their own departments?? Or perhaps no one wants to take ownership and actually DO their jobs. (problem #14) And, if you can believe this, he never transfered me anywhere, and I ended up being hung up on...AGAIN! (problem #15). So here I sit with a product that I easily could have picked up at the grocery store if it was in fact what I really wanted, and, so livid at their supposed customer service that I just want to scream. I actually had to create an account just to post this problem because I work in customer service/sales/retail for a well-known, high-end retail chain and I would lose my job ON THE SPOT if I ever treated a customer with the lack of respect and importance that I have been shown for the past week by this horrible excuse for a company. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM! And, fyi, Citysearch made me put at least a one...it was my intention to put absolutely nothing. Or negatives, had that been possible.
Great Home Health Department – Really like the new tennis balls with smiley faces on them....they're great gift items to give to Assisted Living residents.
