Ellingtons on Beach needs a Chef vice Burger flipper – Saturday September 13, 2008 we went to Ellingtons on the Beach for Family Reunion diiner. Made reservations for 6:30 PM so they were aware it was a large group. Arrived and tables were not set yet. Drink orders went well but only one waiter. Food ordered but when food came out they didn't know where any of it went, no seating charts used. No condiments were put out for anything other than melted butter. The beef products all seemed to have been parbroiled in their own juices. All the shrimp, steamed or broiled were overcooked and cheap quality with very dirty veins. Management seemed more interested in ongoing dinner theater on other side of restaurant. Total waste of money even if it was within walking distance. Also wouldn't take AMEX.

The rolls were good. Shrimp were steamed to being boiled. Medium prime-rib was par-boiled in texture. Broiled shrimp were over cooked. Scallops in sauce on rice was a soup.

Wait staff didn't know where food went, didn't know to serve condiments. Did ask what was needed a lot!
A - Atmosphere
Noisy and seemed to be impeding their running a dinner theater in other side of room.
$$$- $19 and up

Great food and priced nice too! – We walked about 10 blocks in either direction from our hotel looking for a good place to eat (no hurry).Decided to give this place a try.Inside was nice but not really fancy and there wasnt many people there on a Sat night .Bear in mind though this is Feb,but other nearby resturants had more people in them. I guess parking would be a issue if you were not staying at the hotel or one nearby (like we were).
To be honest,I was getting a bit aprehensive about our choice....Untill the food arrived.
It was FANTASTIC!
Ever had food so GOOD your almost afraid to go back for fear of disapointment?
We will be back!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena – Oceanfront restaurant with casual atmosphere serves American cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and pasta.
Ell-ing-ton of food – Have you had a bacon-cheeseburger? If so, add an egg and you got the trashburger. Big, thick, good patty, served with fries. And all this on the oceanfront, in the Oceanfront Inn.
'The Real' Best of the Beach – Fabulous fare at reasonable prices! We hit Ellingtons all year round. The breakfast menu is the freshest around and the crab cakes are de-lish!
Great Place to Eat!! – A friend of mine had me and my daughter meet her at a place down at the Beach. It was Ellingtons everything that I have ever had there, breakfast, lunch, or dinner has been wonderful. You can eat inside or outside on the terrace and always enjoy either. Keep up the good work Nylia and Steve.
Great Restaurant – Ellington's is my favorite restaurant. Besides being on the oceanfront, the food is wonderful. You can tell that everything is fresh. Ellingtons is very child friendly. Having coloring books , crayons, childrens books and games, it keeps my kids busy. The service is also wonderful. The menu is varied to fit the needs of everyone including alot of vegetarian meals. Keep up the good work!
