Service with a SMILE – I had a spa put in back in 1994. Before purchasing, the workings of the spa were thoroughly explained, and my wife and I looked forward to many happy times. Enjoyed the spa yearly. Whenever a problem arose, I could count on Justin's knowledge to solve it. Took water samples to him on a weekly basis and have not had any problems with water chemistry--after testing water, he tells me what is needed (if anything) and i put it in. Purchased an above ground pool from another company in 1997, but kept going back to Justin for chemicals and water tests. They are always friendly and seem to have the answer to any problems that crop up. I have been in the store when people come in with water problems, but find that they didn't do what Justin suggested and they still have problems. I tell them that I do what Justin suggests and I haven't had any problems.
Good, honest, down-to-earth people trying to help others get through spa season and pool season. I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and would recommend Creative Spa and Deck to anyone with a spa or pool.
great service – My neighbor had Creative Spa &Deck install a pool several years ago. He never had a problem with installation or service , so I went to their store to ckeck them out. There I met Justin & John.They were very courtious and helpful.I recieved detailed advice on chemicals for my size pool.By following their advice I have had a safe, clear swimable pool this summer.They helped me upgrade my filter system & recently gave me detailed instructions on when & how to close my pool for the winter.I have never had a problem with them either in person or over the phone. They rate 5 stars in my book and will continue to get my business!!
Creative Spa Decks and Pools – I purchased a spa back in December of 2006. Just a few weeks after installation I notice the spa was leaking and then the nightmare came to life. I called Creative Spa and they in turn set up a date for a maintenance person to come out to see what the problem was.
I had the spa sunken into the deck I had to have the electrical disconnected and have the spa pooled out so the technician could make the repairs. The Technician said the problem was due to my concrete patio was not level. So to please this guy I built a special platform out of pressure treated lumber to insure the spa was level. Had to set up another date for the technician to come out and make repairs. Keep in mind I also had to drain the water then fill it back up again so that the technician could find all leaks. He came out again and he discovered that there were more leaks than he thought. Again I had to set up another date for him to come out.
repairs were made and within a month there were leaks again. I was then referred to the manufacture here in Virginia Beach. They requested to come and get the spa take back to their plant and make all repairs. Week later the spa was delivered back to me and they said all leaks were corrected. They even said they filled the spa up with water and let it set over night to make sure there were no visible signs of leaks.
Guess what within the following month leaks were visible again. I I called again and they sent 2 technicians out and again made the repairs and again within a month the leaks are back.The Spa Looks great but they cannot stop the leaks. I have a lemon and I don't recommend anyone to sink their hot tub where it is so difficult to get to for repairs.
Poor service, bought an above ground pool and will never recommend to anyone – We bought an above ground pool from Creative. They were very helpful when purchasing the pool. Installation team came quickly and seem to do a good job. After that, that's when everything started falling apart. Within a few weeks, the liner started to come apart. I called and was told to use popsicle sticks to keep the liner from falling. You would think after spending over $3000 on a pool, one wouldn't have to use popsicle sticks. Since we've got this pool less than three years ago, the liner has busted at the seams (which they did replace about a month after it happened) every part on the pump has needed to be replaced, the liner continues to fall even after their service guy came out to fix it which required a call every other day for nearly a month for him to finally call back and come out, and now I have a leak somewhere in the liner, which of course they say is not their problem in helping to find the leak unless it busts again. The follow up customer service is poor, almost non existent. When I asked for my warranty paperwork, they refused to give it to me stating that "they keep those records on file with them so that customers do not lose them". I couldn't even get a copy of that! I also would like to add that I grew up with a pool and fully knowledgeable on maintaining a good running pool. This is just shoddy customer service coupled with a lack of integrity. They don't care once they get your money. BUYER BEWARE.
Cheap parts condescending attitude! – Bought my pool 2 years ago every pump related peice has had to be replaced. Called to explain about broken hoses, pump basket cover wont seal,rust on side of pool, skimmer basket broke, ladder broke. Was told everything was my responsibility due to negligence. Had a Hayward system for 10 years never had a problem. Would never recomend !! 3rd season sand filter cracked on bottom . Thermostat on spa needs to be replaced, set at a temperature it heats up to 106 degrees on its own!!! $500 later to buy a hayward system pool is spotless. Dont buy anything from here!!!
Would never buy from Creative Spas and Decks again – I bought an above ground pool from this company and they were very nice. The when I tried to get service, it was like I did not exist. Mike Kenny, the owner puts the responsibility on his employees. I have been trying to solve this problem with the aboveground pool since the day it was installed last year. (Summertime2007). I have never had treatment of this nature before with a company before that kept putting me off each time I brought up the problem about the installation of the pool. I always get a ?we can?t do it now?. ?we are in peak season?, it is winter and can?t do it?, always an excuse.
After the pool was installed and the installer had me begin filling the pool with water, I insisted that the pool liner was incorrectly installed. He insisted that it was okay and it would be all right after the water was up to where it should be at the top. I told him that I knew it would not. Of course that was as far as I could get. He was insistent that everything was okay. I have been to the office many times and spoken over the phone, to let you know the pool was improperly installed from the beginning. I was just in recently and got another excuse.
Someone doesn't know what they are talking about – I personally know the manager of Creative Spas and Decks, I can tell you that there has never been a person that has worked at Creative Spas and Decks named Woody, the manager is named Tony. He has been there since 1990and never worked for Rec Warehouse. I also know that you can write the purchase of a spa of on your federal and state income taxes. However there are lots of rules that you must follow, and most people will not qualify.
terrible customer service – I recently bought a pool from them, they were very friendly and helpful in the ordering process. after installation, i had a problem with a piece that came with it. i called the store and was told to bring it in, which i did that day. they still acted as though they did not know what to do when i brought it there. so i was told i would be given a call maybe friday, but maybe monday since they were worried about "getting other customers pools in before the weekend". monday afternoon, still no call. so i called them for the first time since dropping the piece off, this is 5 days later, and i was told i would need to speak to a manager. i started to explain that i had been told they would talk to the manager previously but i was cut off and talked rudely to before being told the manager would call me when he returned. he did not call, so i went to the store where i was told by the manager that he didn't know what was the "deal" with the piece so that's why he hadn't returned my phone call, even though he had my phone number and could easily have called to ask me. the manager and staff offered no apologies for my troubles, but rather spoke to me in a degrading manner, argued with me and passed blame onto others. the experience was so upsetting i would rather have no pool at all than to have bought one from them.
Poor Customer Service – We bought a pool from here 2 years ago.This is the first pool we have ever owned. They were very helpful at the time with making the sale. The workers who put the pool up did a very good job. Since then we have have a few minor problems with some of the items we bought from there. Some were just cheap and didn't last very long. Others broke (brackets for ladder) because we were not given correct information on how to install. When we returned for help, we were talked down to as though we should have known better. I continued to shop here after that just because they were close to home. After having another problem with one of their products, they did not offer any help of an exchange or replacement. I cannot recommend this store, and I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on
Creative Spas Decks and Pools – If you need to buy a spa this ISN'T the place!! Woody (apparent manager) will tell you an outright LIE to sell you a spa!!When asked about the possability of a TAX REDUCTION when SPA is recommended by doctor Woody Informed me "YES BOTH FEDERAL AND STATE"will give you a TAX BREAK......WRONG!!There is NO TAX BREAK in this state period!!And WOODY KNEW IT...according to the manager at REC WAREHOUSE...they had FIRED HIM from REC WAREHOUSE for apparently his problems with the truth!!SO BUYER BEWARE.....
