Many customers choose to get take out, but only by eavesdropping from a booth can you overhear aficionados proclaim that Hummingbird's oxtails are better than prime rib.

The Food
The Hummingbird is the best place to come for classics like jerk chicken or meat patties and kingfish, but bring your appetite: All entrees include side orders like plantains, and delicious rice and beans with a hint of cinnamon. Portions are already large, but for a few dollars more entrees can grow to enormous proportions. Don't miss the fried dumplings, coco bread and festival salad.
