Throw out the old menus !!! – Dinner, 5-6-06. The food and atmosphere were good, but the waiter was not engaged and the menu items did not match what was served. I ordered the Low County B-B-Q Shrimp with polenta- no polenta, just greens. The "rack" of lamb with apple dressing was 4 lamb chops with mashed potatoes, no dressing. My wife had the flounder with rice - again, mashed potatoes, no rice. Waiter's explaination - old menu. Throw it out then !!

Fantastic Place!! – We just got back from eating Mother's Day Brunch. It was incredible. The menu is definately geared for adult tastes and I have a picky eater. The waitress (wish I had gotten her name) went above and beyond what was expected to accomodate my son. She "revised" the grilled chicken entree so he received a chicken sandwich with ketchup and also provided him with a sweet roll to eat while he waited. The food was fantastic and while I wouldn't recommend taking children, I would let that stop me from trying this place out.

An intimate setting paired with eclectic dishes makes this one of Norfolk's best bistros. – The Scene
This two-story brick building, nestled in the historic Freemason District, once sheltered horses. Today it houses this homey restaurant that serves innovative dishes in a cheerful setting. Fresh flowers spill from a bowl on the bar, and diners share entrees at small, tightly clustered tables. Brightly colored art hangs on the walls, adding to the bistro ambience where laughter wins over whispers.

The Food
Specials change with the seasons and often have Moroccan accents (the owner's a native of Morocco). For dinner, start with the pate or wild mushroom bruschetta, followed by potato-encrusted flounder, teriyaki grilled tuna or Mediterranean shrimp scampi. Seafood Benedict is the star of Sunday brunch, but don't miss out on the other classic breakfast favorites, such as waffles and omelets.
