Below average Mexican cuisine.
While this restaurant was a relatively entertaining place to spend a few hours with good company, the food is Mexican in name only. Sadly, Plaza Azteca serves up Americanized Mexican food recipes that suffer from the all too common pattern of reducing traditional sauces, spices, and favors to bland selections edible by masses unfamiliar with Mexico or the southwest. Don’t expect to find authentic Mexican tastes like a mole sauce or richly spiced salsa here. To improve the experience for the visiting Californian or desperate traveler, it may be wise to stick to a simple quesadilla or taco and keep expectations low.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena.
Mexican favorites including huge burritos are served at reasonable prices at the restaurant that offers a fun atmosphere.
