Worse rental experience EVER. I've only been with them for just over a year now & unfortunately just resigned my lease, against my better judgement & already regretting it BIG TIME. Their prices may seem good but believe me, not worth it. Just yesterday had the displeasure of dealing with a lady there, Barbara Wilkins, who is just downright rude & ugly. Not even going to go into details but I highly recommend not wasting your time or money on these people/slumlords. They will only make life harder for you. Even though I just resigned with them, I will be breaking my lease as soon as possible & will NEVER go through them again or recommend them to others.
Agent with a BlackHeart. – I am not surprised on any of the comments written about Carrithers Realty.This company has no compassion for people in need of housing,the goal is for you to sign their crooked lease and then they use it to their advantage.Never have I come in contact with someone so WAX COLD as the agent Barbara Wilkins,she has no heart.So before you get involved with this company make sure you have a good attorney or wisely I suggest find another landlord ASAP. Perhaps everyone that has written a comment should also contact our ATTORNEY GENERAL.
Worst place to rent from that I have ever seen – These people don't even deserve the one star. I only put it one star so no one would think that I forgot about it. Where do I begin? I have lived in one of their rental homes for almost a year now. I have made my rent payment on time every month. But non of that even matters to them. When I moved in, there was mouse holes in the walls, the gas furnace exhuast vent wasn't hooked up, paint was bubbling on the wall, and it goes on and on on. When the gas company came to fix the furnace, we got stuck paying for the fine. Not Carrithers. We were stuck with no heat in the middle of the winter. I call these people numerous times to come out and fix all the decrepancies, but all they want to do is give you a bunch of lip on the phone and say that they will get to it. This means that they jot your name on a yellow sticky and loose it on their desk. Today they finally sent their crack head handyman over to fix the things that have been wrong for the 10 months. Oh and by the way the screen door on the porch was broken by hurricane Irene, and they don't want to fix that. They said we did it. These are the most unprofessional people I have ever done buisness with. Save your self the trouble and don't sign a damn thing with them. Or you might be sitting there writting a bad review on them too just like me.
Terrible company don't rent from them – I have called them to fix things in the house at least 4 times now. Nothing has been fixed and I get nothing but a run around each time I call. The major issue is that the kitchen ceiling is leaking and beginning to fall down right above the stove! And they tell me they can't fix that because it is winter and they can't fix roofs in the winter!!! Are you kidding me, get your ass up there and fix it! Having water and ceiling falling on my stove is not safe, especailly when it is a gas stove! Carrithers has terrible customer service and once you sign your lease they could care less about you. Do not rent from them!
Shit For Brains – Shitty Houses, fat old ladies in office are bitches, this company sucks, only staying another year because I refuse to move. Owner Mr. Carrithers was arrested on MAJOR cocaine charges back in the day only to get off by paying off David Olson the city prosecuter to represent him, if you see his 50's Corvette out front, throw rocks at it. What a bunch of asholes.
Horrible Rental Company – I rented from them for almost a year. I never was late on my rent. I had to break my lease due to job relocation. I contacted them, left them forwarding mailing addresses, contact numbers, and even someone locally to call if they had a problem. I was informed that the house was rented before my lease was up which was 30 April 09. I called the Carrithers b/c I haven't received my deposit back, its June 09. I called and apparently the financial advisor was out sick and no one in the office could help me besides her. I called again when they said she'll be in the office and I was inquiring about my deposit, the lady had a nasty attitutude. I was never late on my rent or anything, I left the house better than it was before I moved in. I was requesting that she look into the matter, she told me basically there is only 2 people in the office, it's the first of the month and she'll get to it. Only thing I wanted for her was to notify me when they send the check out so I can track it to make sure I receive it, apparently they send a check out before and I haven't received it. It's a deposit check over $1000.00. She was not trying to help me and she acted like I was bothering her. If you can DO NOT rent from them. A bunch of unprofessional individuals. When you have renters that pay their rent on time and actually take care of he property, a little common courtesy is the least the rental company can provide, they don't do that. People who are looking for someone to manage their property I highly suggest you find another company. Their attitudes and customer service practices are HORRIBLE and DETESTABLE.
worst people to rent from – I would not recommend them to anyone.The house had large critters . my dog got rid of 4. they are slum lords. they don't want to fix anything. years of paint peeling off the walls. old cut gas lines all over the house. the yard had broken glass and beer bottles in it. it took us almost 2 monthes to get the yard cleaned. windows wouldn't open. mold under the sinks. i was told before i moved in by dozens of people not to go through them but i thought i would try anyway. ya should have listened.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEIR HOMES!!!! – Never came to check up on home, INSECTS in home, kitchen & bath rooms need updating, didn't have air conditioning for a week in July of last year. Stove and hot water heater didn't work, and it took them 3 days to get new ones. Sinks in bathroom were clogged and looked like it had never be cleaned. They never came out to clean them, and we had to do it ourselves. Fence in bad condition. Paid on time every month, and was still treated with horrible customer service when I called to ask questions.
The home is in a wonderful neighborhood and has great neighbors!
