One of the best locations in LA for a hotel. Great for weddings/Bat Mitzvahs or to impress any out-of-towners that hate LA! This place will convert them!

There are few places more serene or iconic in Los Angeles. From the gorgeous landscaping to the swans gliding around, brunch at the Hotel Bel Air will make a woman of any age swoon.

Closed for a few years in order for a full renovation, hotel bel-air is back and more stylish than ever. Such a pretty place. Otherworldly.

A verdant oasis just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Westwood. – The Scene
As elegant as its lush surroundings, the Hotel Bel-Air bar brims with sophistication. Outside, a serene patio is situated alongside the grounds' signature swan lake. Adorned with massive but tasteful flower arrangements, the entryway leading inside the bar itself opens into a refined gentleman's study. Plush couches are nestled against well-polished, dark-wood walls, and comfortable leather chairs and tables surround them.

The Draw
The majority of patrons are diners waiting to be seated in the adjoining restaurant, wedding guests, couples wrapping up romantic dates or hotel guests. Despite its proximity to the UCLA campus, one would be hard-pressed to find any co-eds in the mix.

Plush ambiance with a price – We ate on the terrace and there is no question that this is a beautiful place to dine. Just be ready to pay the price. Our family of four had four salads and drinks and the bill came to $122 before the tip! Wow! I would recommend skipping the luch and walking around the garden. It is defintely worth the drive from surrounding areas. This is a beautiful hotel.

Most Exquisite Service Ever – My family and I decided to go to the Bel Air Hotel to celebrate my graduation from a doctoral program. We made the reservation the night before and were told we would be unable to sit outside. I told them I was graduating and if there was anything they could do, I would appreciate it. When we got there, not only was there a table outside, but they toasted us with 2 complimentary bottles of champagne. We were waited on hand and foot and made to feel like VIPs. At the end of the dinner, they brought out a complimentary dessert with a candle in it for me. I would go back there for absolutely any special occasion and highly recommend them!

WOW - Best Dining Experience – The atmosphere was wonderful! The service was superior! The food was out of this world!

This is the place to take that special someone. Romance is everywhere. I have never been to a more romantic setting. You truly feel as if you have been transported to some remote romantic island.

We ordered the Bel-Air Tasting Menu with selected wines. WOW (I can not stop saying that). The theme of the meal was cherries, which were married perfectly with each course. The Foie Gras and the duck were superb.

This is the place to go when proposing marriage or for an anniversary. The experience is not cheap, but you truly feel that it is worth every cent.

FYI - Stay at the Hotel so you can fully appreciate the wines...

terriable afternoon tea service – We went there for an afternoon tea and what an awful mistake. Poor service and it was anything but a "real" afternoon tea. We were there for an hour and it was miserable. They did not have a good choice of teas, the sandwiches were awful the pastry were not just bought from store and dumped on the tray. We paid $90 for two and the worst tea we had ever!!! Save you money

Once upon a time in a bustling metropolis, an Eden-like hideaway was born. – The Scene
Perhaps L.A.'s pre-eminent luxury accommodation, Hotel Bel-Air has been a haven for society dowagers and paparazzi-scorning celebrities since opening in 1940. Oil baron and Bel-Air Estates founder Alphonso E. Bell originally constructed the building for office space. Years later, it was converted into this grand estate worthy of a multimillion-dollar tycoon.

The Details
Guests enter via a miniature bridge which crosses the hotel's signature Swan Lake; cascading waterfalls and a crowning bell tower complete the idyllic serenity. Inside, antique fixtures and French countryside furnishings will make any plebeian feel like royalty. Sprawled over 11 lushly landscaped acres, the hotel offers much-welcomed privacy. The aptly named Grace Kelly Suite features a separate dressing room area with dainty vanity. For utter seclusion, ask for the Swan Lake Suite, which has a private entry gate.

double paradise on the rocks – This by far is my favorite spot in all of LA. Want to impress anyone? Bring them here. Case closed. A first date here and you never have to date again! The staff, classy oldschool, makes everyone feel special. The drinks are pricey(and stiff) but then again you are at the hotel bel-air. Extra added bonus.... you can walk the paradise-like grounds with your drinks and your date! I have never had a bad time here... I wish all other LA spots treated you as well as they do here.

AWESOME – EVERYTIME I have been here the service has been outstanding and the food is even better than the service. EVERY ONE should try TABLE ONE at least once in their life. It is the private dining area in the back looking right into the kitchen. WORLD CLASS dining andworld class service. They do it right. It will be EXTREMELY Pricey, but it is worth every penny you spend.

undisputed #1 hotel in LA – The Hotel Bel-Air is by far the most luxurious hotel in all of LA. I've stayed at the top 5 listed for Los Angeles and nothing comes close to The Hotel Bel-Air in all areas of service, comfort, ambience, etc. There's a reason why Oprah Winfrey called it one of her favorite places to stay in the world! If you're looking for luxury, don't even bother going anywhere else in LA.
