Absolute BEST EVER... – I lost my father in 2010, I shopped many cemeteries in Roanoke and found Blue Ridge Memorial to be the best. I found out thru my research what an Internment process was and that all cemeteries don't do this process. it is to protect your family against wrong doings from the cemetery, I believe the person below must have not have known that they were protecting her from a possible wrong burial. They informed me and my family that all internment paperwork must be signed 24 hours in advance so they can open the grave, its intent was to protect the family against a wrong burial. I found Blue Ridge Memorial to be the most professional of all cemeteries in the area and I found them to be very helpfull and accomodating.

Absolute WORST EVER – Is it possible to give NEGATIVE stars?

When my grandmother recently passed away, I had to make most of the arrangements by phone for the items that were not included in her pre-paid service and plot.

Steve Hale was the rudest man I have ever dealt with...he's more used car salesman than equiped to deal with people suffering a loss. He DEMANDED that I fax him a document on a Saturday by noon so that they could set up chairs for the service. When I told him that my printer was broken, I'd be happy to send an email with permission and sign the original on Monday (day of the service), that was unacceptable! I was forced to go to my office, print the document and fax it to him.

He added insult to injury so to speak by saying he knew that I was going through a lot right now.... How can he know what I may or may not have going on right now? While there is never a good time to lose a loved one, my dear grams lived 101 years on this earth. It was not a shock, but it hurt all the same. And 7 weeks from my wedding day.....(not to mention the 'normal stress' that goes along with day to day life with work, etc.

When I spoke to him the day of the service (confronted his behavior), he never even apologized for his rudeness! When I spoke to another associate in the office, they too didn't apologize!

Finally, when I questioned why they needed MY social security number on this fax to set up chairs, the girl (also very rude) said it was standard proceedure. Needless to say, they didn't get that information.

The Best – I had the best experience ever at Blue Ridge their staff was wonderful, prices were the best in the area and the cemetery is absolutly beautiful. Pre planning is the best way to buy cemetery property easy arrangements and low monthly payments. I wouldn't choose any other place to be.

Blue Ridge Memorial (Bad for business) – Recently my father died, needless to say I was unsure about where to go for basic funeral needs. I went to Blue Ridge Memorial because I thought that they would help. They were quick to write me up a bill for 1000+, and charge me a fee to reserve a burial plot (as if it were a hotel room). Some how, throughout this process, one of thier unemployees (which they fired a while ago) apparently thought that a tombstone or headstone was not worth mentioning to me. I was left to pay 12k for funeral services, 2k for burial services, and now 7 months afterwards, my father still does not have a head-stone. They are very excited about (SELLING) me one, but not about fixing a problem caused by an incompetent employee.

Do not do business with these individuals. They will charge you thousands of dollars for little more than a bathtub size piece of land.....
