Veronika is hands down the best Esthetician I have ever seen. She helped me to have the best skin I have had in my life. She is also a stellar eyebrow waxer!
Phenomenal Experience with James and Veronika.
James has been doing my hair for the last year and I've never had it look this good. I constantly get compliments wherever I go. I have long hair and it's very healthy now thanks to James. This salon makes you feel important everytime you walk in the door. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They have the products you need in stock all the time.
Veronika does the best facials in the State of Washington. She has such a passion for her work. She makes sure to take the best care of you and your skin.
Everything used in this salon is top quality. It's hard to come by a place that wants the best for you and not money hungry.
My awesome expierences at Marino salon and Spa.
I have been coming to Marino's for a number of years now, i have never had a negative expierence, as a matter of fact, i have had only posotive expierences, not only on the salon side but on the spa side as well. I would reccomend James Marino and Veronika Marino to ANYbody. I consider them as my family.
I have never seen in my life, which has been a considerable one, the amount of passion that this salon and spa has given me. I read the previous review and my first thought was: "She must be talking about some place else". Because first of all James and Veronika are some of the most compasionate people i have ever met, second of all it is very hard to get an appointment sometimes because of the fact that they are so busy. Thridly although the outside of the building may look a little run down (which is something they cannot control seeing as they share the building with two other tennants.) the inside portrays a beautiful rustic, roman atmosphere.
I get a full foil, two colors and a haircut and it is perfect every time... and i have A LOT of hair. And my price has always been somewhere between $145-$165 consistently. ( i feel this is a fare price for an incredible job) As with any credible salon and spa (including the famous Gene Juarez) i would expect to pay no less and often the stylist at Marino's will evern throw in a beautiful shine treatment (that costs $50) for FREE.
I love these guys and i wish there were more like them in this line of work.
Bad Experience. I went for a regular foil, lt. blonde highlights over my ash brown hair. He put cinnamon brown and a yellow blonde high and lowlights in one inch wide sections. At the top it was VERY brassy. Underneath he colored four inch wide sections, and in the back, blended. I guess he thought I wouldn't notice. I want it to look just as nice when I pull it up. There was no consistency to the color. After he was done, he put toner on, and charged me for two colors (and toner $20)= $140. He told me on the phone the very most it would be was about $95 for two colors. It is his fault if he got the color wrong and had to use toner. Several times he told me "you know I blocked out time to cut your hair. You needed your hair colored, but you really need to get it cut." I felt like he was trying to make me feel like I had to do it because he had blocked out the time for it. I never asked for a hair cut! I don't mind someone giving their opinion but he kept saying I blocked out the time to cut your hair. The color looked like a blob of blonde and brown brassiness had dropped onto the crown of my head. The color wasn't pulled to the ends of my ash brown hair. I e-mailed them, and I know they check their e-mail. I got no response. He kept telling me it would be the best haircut I ever had. It wasn't. The bottom line is I showed him pictures and he knew I wanted light blonde highlights just regular highlights, not thick streaks or different colors. I specifically told him that I wanted nothing resembling a warm brown put on my hair and he did it anyway. The building is rundown looking from the outside and inside. I passed it a few times because I didn't think that would be it. There were no other customers in the salon the whole time I was there, and none waiting to get in when I left, so I feel he was nickel and diming me to get as much money out of me as he could because business is slow. I was very disappointed that he didn't respond and make it right. I have never had a salon not tell me to come back if I wasn't happy about something. I had to go to another salon to try to "correct" what he did. That is very poor customer service. It has been very expensive. I give Marino Salon and Spa a BIG thumbs down.
