Wonderful Salad!.
I had a wonderful Cobb Salad today at Togo's in Bellevue. Lots of fresh greens, the chicken was flavorful, and the blue cheese dressing was very good (not mayonaisse in flavor).
Their avacado is served more like a guacamole, but was great because I got a little with each bite.
Just OK Subs. Wanted the sour dough but they told me the sour dough bread was too chewy!? They have lots more selection than Subway or Quiznos. But, really it was just ok.
A variety of fresh-baked bread and healthy, wholesome ingredients define this sandwich chain's made-to-order creations..
In Short
The first Togo's opened in 1968 near California's San Jose State University, serving simple, sizeable sandwiches. Today, the same freshly prepared subs are ordered at the counter where diners choose their bread and toppings. Cold options include the signature avocado and turkey with all-white breast meat, and the Italian--salami, capicolla, mortadella, provolone and cotto. Popular hot subs include the pastrami, piled high with mustard. Veggie sandwiches, soups and salads round out the menu.
no go to TOGO. This was NOT a good sub day. Both my fiancee and I ate subs that were too much bread, not enough flavor and the people working there were rude! Also, they refuse to heat your sub "we can't get it warm enough so we won't heat it" is what they told me. Whatever. I prefer Quizno's YUM, but would rather eat at SUBWAY than here. Won't go back.
Will never go to another sub shop. Togo's is by far the best sub (sandwich) shop around here. Everything is rich with flavor and is fresh. There are many menu items to choose from. My favorite is the egg salad sandwich. I do: however, prefer to take things to go than to eat in the restaurant. It is the standard sub shop seating which is not very comfortable. Also don't be surprised to see long lines at lunch time. The staff does a pretty good job at getting orders ready even when it is busy. Don't expect it to be as quick as McDonald's. I wish there were more Togo's around here. Other than that all I got to say is go check them out for yourself.
