Doesn't Recommend

Not the best experience. I decided to try this place out on 8/24/11 after reading some good reviews (none of which are recent, which I should have noticed.) I wanted a place that would be kind and gentle to my dog who almost died from liver failure earlier this year. I got the opposite.

Not only did they have him in there for a ridiculously long 7 hours, and gave him a mediocre at best haircut, but they actually did something to harm him. When I picked him up, I noticed that he couldn't open one of his eyes. (They didn't tell me this beforehand, I had to point it out myself.) The girls said that shampoo or hair must have gotten in his eye. I talked to a manager on the phone who told me that he wanted to make it right so if I needed to take my dog to the vet, they'd pay the bill. I took him to the vet and it turned out he got a corneal ulcer that was caused from shampoo chemical burns. I brought the bill in the next day and it has now been 2 weeks and I have heard nothing. I have called and have been told they were still looking into it. I wrote a letter to the owner even, and still haven't heard a thing. No one has even called to see how he was doing. Most companies will admit when they are wrong, and will go out of their way to make it better. If they would have treated me with respect and tried to solve the problem, I wouldn't be writing this review. I got none of that.

UPDATE (9/13/11): I did finally receive a check to reimburse the vet bill and a letter apologizing. The manager had a family emergency and that's why I didn't hear back from him sooner, which I completely understand. I just wish someone else who worked at the grooming spa would have told me this weeks ago, so I didn't feel like I was being ignored. I still don't think the girls who work there treated my dog well, and kept him too long, especially since they didn't even do a good job with his haircut. I do feel the situation is now resolved, but I won't be going back there unless they get new groomers.

Best grooming spa. I was so glad I found The Grooming

Spa a couple of years ago. Not only do they provide professional services, they really care for your dog! My girls have been going there and consider The Grooming Spa a place to go, not avoid. They love the staff who cuddle and love on them and really care about their welfare. I highly recommend The Grooming Spa to all pet parents who want a spa experience for their pets!

Awsome. I have take my puppies to many groomers and none of them compare to the Grooming Spa. They are amazing.

GREAT PLACE FOR A PAMPERED POOCH. ROXY LOVES THIS PLACE AND SO DO I. LOVE THE FULL SERVICE OR DO IT YOURSELF TREATMENT. BOTH ARE GREAT.

Love "The Spa". We have been taking our pom to "The Spa" for over a year now and have the best experince each and every time. They are so great with our nervous little dog and do a fantastic job grooming her. She loves Jenniffer!

Great for you puppy!. I have taken my dog, Kuma, there since he was a pup and the staff does a great job on him every time. Definitely would recommend them to everyone!

Grooming Spa Bellevue, wa. I am extremely happy with the service Grooming Spa has unfailingly delivered each time I have taken my dog there. The staff is patient and wonderful with the pets. I would recommend Grooming Spa any time.

Chuck's Favorite Salon. There are many groomers to choose from in Bellevue. Some are a bit scary... But I was fortunate to find this place. They take such great care of my Yorkie Chuck and I LOVE the way they listen to my quirky preferences for his haircut. I could do it myself, but for the price and the quality, bringing Chuck here is the way to go.

BEST Pet Grooming on the Eastside. I have 2 dogs that I have had groomed here for the past several years. They are amazingly consistent; the dogs always look great !! And the staff is wonderful - what a fantastic team. I have gone many places over the past 20 years and this is THE BEST.

Satisfied with Grooming Spa. My second visit to Grooming Spa and have been extremely happy with their service. Will definitely tell my friends and plan to be back.
