Tips for Acura of Bellevue

January 28, 2013

We have never had such a horrible experience at an auto dealership as we did this past Saturday. The salesperson, Tony U., was fine until we declined the price he offered. He immediately became verbally aggressive, to the point where our young son asked us as we pulled out of the dealership parking lot why “the man was so mean.”

I think this is a shady awful place. Do not buy a car from them. Do not take the Extended Warranty, and DEFINITELY don't let their service department touch your car.

I bought a nearly-new Rav4 from Acura of Bellevue. I knew exactly the car I was looking for and they had one, so I was happy to drive 30 miles to pick up the car. The negotiations and the deal was relatively painless, however they did talk me into a useless "extended warranty" that I am .

Before purchasing, I had the car checked out and discovered the front brakes were worn out and would need replacing. Acura of Bellevue agreed to replace the front brakes (so far, so good, I thought). Unfortunately, they replaced the brake pads with an aftermarket brakepad -- a hard "lifetime" product. This brake pad has ALWAYS squealed. I took the car back to them on numerous occasions complaining of the brake noise and the told me that they would have to "break in" and that it was probably some dirt in there. Two years later, I am now facing a full front brake replacement -- the after market brake-pad wrecked my brakes.

I called the service department to complain that the wrong part was used and the service department manager told me in no undertain terms that it was too late to be making a complaint about the repair from two years ago.

If I lived closer to Accura of Bellevue, and wasn't a full-time working single mom, I would go over there on a Saturday and make a huge stink. However I have kids to care for and a job to work at.

[Also, at the time of purchase, the salesman assured me that the car had a clean accident record -- turns out it had been in a serious crash. It operates fine, but I wish they had been more honest about the car's history]

I still love my Rav4, but am so disappointed in the parts they chose to use to repair my car.

We WON'T be back!. I bought a car from Rob Friedland. There were stipulations agreed upon in the deal. After I payed cash-in-full for the car, Rob balked and decided not to honor the caveats we agreed upon. I tried to appeal to manager Frank Kelley - he wouldn't honor the deal either. Very bad business, and a bad experience overall.

"tmj78" never bought a car from Acura of Bellevue. He went through an auto broker who found a car for his client here on our lot. The broker negotiated the deal for his client "tmj78" and the car was sold to "tmj78" through his broker. It was a Toyota 4-runner that was traded in here, and we had only one key and remote. We told the broker we would call and see if the previous owner had any more keys and remotes. We told the broker we weren't promising anything. Rob Friedman, not "Rob Friedland", was simply a sales person here who helped "tmj78" go through the paying and delivery process. We did everything we said we would do. We don't make promises, without putting them in writing. This way things like this don't happen. We are a BBB accredited Dealership, family owned for 26 years. We sell New Acura's and Quality pre-owned vehicles.

Sincerely,

Frank Kelley

ACURA OF BELLEVUE ? ?I would never buy a car here again but would come for the service dept?. We received a good deal for the car...but it was the after service that I was greatly displeased with from the finance dept to the feeling of being "belittled" and deceived. We were offered a high APR from the dealership so we decided to go elsewhere.Later at home, I found a CUDL link from a credit union site in which I found my exact car from the dealership but with a much lower rate that ACURA could offer.I made my way over to the credit union and had them verify if the APR listed on the CUDL link to see if it was something they could take care of. They found it was something that should have been dealt with by the dealer. I contacted a manager from Acura and he told me that what I had found online was wrong and that I should just go w/the credit union's rate. I was frustrated by the fact that I had found something viable thru the credit unions site linked to Acura of Bellevue?s branded site from CUDL, but I was even more exasperated by the fact no one was taking any responsibility to direct me towards a person who could verify/investigate my claim. I opted for the CU rate (which was much lower than the dealer's APR) and contacted the finance dept. to confirm what paperwork I should bring in. The lady without the raspy/hoarse voice picked up and spoke with a VERY demeaning tone when I asked her questions. She had extremely poor customer relations skills from the point when I talked to her on the phone and till the point I brought in the paperwork and check from BECU. I eventually walked over to the service/parts dept. to receive some paint for a chip on my car and found that Jay and Joe went above and beyond to deliver the best customer service I had ever received there. I was extremely impressed by their knowledge and care..

I love my new car but I would NEVER recommend anyone that I even remotely cared about to buy a car from this dealership. I felt everyone (on the sales side) had avoided addressing any of my concerns.

These customers came in from looking at similar vehicles at other stores. When we came to a deal we both agreed on, this customer informed us that he had been told about a low APR % at another dealership. We told him it didn't apply to the model of car he was buying (a Certified RDX not a Certified MDX)and after running his credit he was also tier B, not a tier A beacon score. We then offered him the best rate we had available through Honda Finance. At this time said he could get "4% APR through his bank". We have CUDL access to all the credit unions. Even if the customer had told us they were going to BECU with tier B credit through BECU and not being BECU members their rate would be 5.49% (plus .50% for being new members). Dealers are unable to mark up any rates given to us by credit unions. If the customer would have told us that they wanted to use BECU and sign up as members we would have done that right on the spot, but the rate wouldn't have been 4%. If CUDL mistakenly put up an

Best purchase experience ever!. I just recently purchased my 2009 Acura TSX from Acura of Bellevue and I?ve got to say, it was a great experience all the way around. The salesman was very professional and knew every aspect of the vehicle. He was able to answer every question I threw at him and took the time to go over all the features once I got out of finance. The finance manager was great! She was very courteous, answered my questions and got me through the process quickly. I got a tour of the dealership and I will be sure to have my vehicle serviced there as their service department is top notch. I have a friend who also purchased her Acura from them and loves the free wifi in the customer lounge while her RDX is being serviced. All in all I was very impressed with this dealership and the way I was treated. It was the best purchase experience I have encountered and I will be sure to recommend them to everyone!

Took amazing care of my friends and myself!. I bought my first Acura from Acura of Bellevue about 12 years ago and recently just bought my new MDX and its a wonderful experience. Everything from the start of the buying process to the end was low pressure and very easy. I have not had that in the past and this was a great change. Also I have sent several referrals to this store and they are always treated fair and with respect. My cousin just leased an RL and he said it was the best deal he has ever had on a car. The service department is on the ball and the waiting room is like a second office if you want to wait. Great service all the way around.
