Great food good price – Hainan chicken is very original just like in China. Myself, I like Pork chop rice, Service and Amb. isn't great they like to pop you in a small table.

Hole in the wall, but I love it – The portions are huge and most of the food is great. They are very generous with the amount of meat in most of the dishes. The restaurant pretty much has no ambiance and it is very casual, but the people are nice in a reserved. A good cleaning would be nice. I also don't like all the canned mushrooms they use (they use canned mushrooms for all their mushrooms, not just the asian mushrooms).I didn't like the taste of some things, but most are great. I recommend the following dishes: Wonton Soup, Sweet and Sour Soup, Salt and pepper shrimp (or squid), Bean curd beef, spicy chicken, mango chicken, and green beans with garlic. The seafood hotpot is AMAZING. It is also probably the healthiest thing on the menu and it tastes wonderful. I haven't enjoyed the noodle dishes (seemed flavorless) and I don't like their curries. The curries taste very different than thai curries and it could be that they make them exactly "right" and I just don't like the flavor... but I have a hard time imagining that they are supposed to have large chunks of barely cooked onion in them.

It isn't fancy, but I like the food and the prices.

Oh, and to the person who complained about the tea: I don't think they charge for tea. I've never seen it on my bill.

Unpleasant experience – Their food does taste good but I found a hair in one of the dishes and when I reported it, they were not apologetic about it at all and even had an attitude with our table after that. Customer service is seriously lacking. I probably wouldn't go back.

We Will Not Return – We entered this restaurant. The girl nodded her head our way from clear across the restaurant, to say: "How many?" with her eyebrows arching in question. I kindly mouthed the words, "Two people". She jerked her chin in the direction of a table. Okay. So it's a "Seat Yourself" type of service. We sat down and then cringed as we noticed their walls are in need of some heavy duty cleaning or new paint job. The girl immediately flew over to our table and deposited a glass of cold water for my son, and hot tea for me. I really get tired of these Chinese restaurants assuming I want tea and then adding it to my bill! Anyway, where was I? Oh yes...relating our terrible experience. Wasting no time to greet us with a smile or a " I'll be right back to serve you," we proceeded to read their menu which was crammed underneath the glass tabletop. After choosing two dishes, we waited for her to come back and take our order...and we waited....and waited...and waited....They were not that busy...but still....we waited for someone to take our order. We finally left after 8 minutes (way too long to place an order). I was kind enough to leave some money for the tea that was foisted upon me. We won't return and they won't get another dime of my hard earned money.

Good Food (may not be consistent) and Value. So-so for Service. – Another one of those Chinese eating place where the good are very good but becoming not so good lately. Use to frequent this place on a weekly basis but the quality and portion of the food are becoming inconsistent. It is like different chef on different days. Some day it is pretty good other day are so-so. Portion-wise is the same thing. Overall rating is 8.9 as I wrote. I believe it is overated at 8.7. It is more like 6 to 7. For value and quality. Definitely not for service. BTW: Cash only at this establishment. I have a feeling the previous good chef has gone somewhere else.

Big portions but not very tasty – Being our second time to this establishment, we tried a few different items but came away unimpressed. Best dishes are the veggies ($8) or the chicken wings ($6). Everything else was just OK Cantonese cooking. Slightly better than I can make at home. You do get big portions however we don't look forward to eating their leftovers.

Great food at great value – It's the best Chinese food on Eastside for my family and for my budget. Their curry dishes are the best. Portions are huge and prices are more than reasonable. Since they are so crowded most of the time, we usually call in for take-out 15 minutes ahead and they are always ready. Reservation is recommended for dine-in.

The food we got was great – Groups of seven can be difficult to serve, but we felt we had the right laid-back attitude to make everything go smoothly. Yet, by the end, we were debating exactly how little to tip. The food was good, some dishes too oily, but no one was complaining about that. Nor were the prices unreasonable. We had to send a representative from the table to get menus, service, and eventually one of the dishes which they forgot to make. Looking around, it seemed as though there were a number of tables wishing they could get someone, anyone's attention. Maybe it was an off day, but I wouln't recommend this place for groups or anyone in a rush (not that we were).

Best Value on East Side – The food is excellent, and the prices are very cheap. An excellent place to take family and friends. Very kid friendly.

The most authentic taste from Hong Kong – This is the only restaurant on the Eastside that provides the most authentic Chinese food from Hong Kong. The selling point of Cafe ORI is the food, the taste and great prices.

The specialties including Hoi Nam Chicken, Curry Chicken, Tantan Noodle and don't miss the Hong Kong styled tea with milk. Great prices. Services are fast and decent.
