For some people, this may be the perfect fit. Just not the case for us. Half of the staff all seem to be stressed or frazzled & the other half appeared to be joking around, I did not get a good vibe from the get go. During our short visit we were taken THRU the center, as there are no hallways, all classrooms are connected. Some of the older rooms the children seemed engaged, but when we reached the toddler rooms the outside play area was sad & depressing. There were only two swings which were not even being used & one tiny little old metal slide. Half of the toys look like they've been there since it opened, dirty & broken.
I would not reccommend this place for anyone!
Worst Day Care Ever!. I would not reccomend this place to anyone. My daugthers elbow was dislocated here at 7 months old, and not only did that happen in their care, noone called me. I got there to pick her up and I immediatley could tell there was something wrong with her arm. I had to take her to the hosptial to have it popped back in. If you want your children in the hands of good people DO NOT take them here.
Truly One of a Kind..
When you have a child who literally RUNS to their teacher you know that they are happy, healthy, & well taken care of. To a mom, that is always reassuring.
My child has been at LPW Bellevue for the past few years and I know that all the teachers have her best interest in mind. My child comes home daily with creative new projects, a messy sensory experience to share, & new songs to sing! Leaving a child in daycare is never easy, but I think they do a great job at creating a “home away from home” setting.
They rooms are all bright with child’s artwork on display for parents to view & you can find the teachers getting down and dirty actually engaging with the children.
I have and will recommend LPW to my friends and family for years to come.
Just looked, but wouldn't go here. I did tour the Bellevue location a while back. But I also got a pretty bad impression of the place. The preschool area actually looked pretty decent, the staff there seemed engaged and so did the kids. The small toddler area I can't say the same. The caretaker barely lifted her head when I entered with my daughter for the tour, and never even smiled an attempt at a greeting. No smiles towards the kids there either in the 15-20 mins I was there. The kids seemed okay, but you could tell there was little adult engagement going on during the day. There as a "schedule" on the wall: The usual circle time, gross motor, fine motor, etc. I noticed I was there smack in the middle of gross motor time. Aparently gross motor time is throwing a bunch of blocks on the floor for the kids to ignore. To the caretakers credit, they have a 7:1 ratio for the 1-2 year olds. I can't imagine that many with diapers, crying...The outside play area had signs all over the place that said in bold "if you are standing here, you aren't watching the kids!!!"... again a flag. Overall I really got a dumpy down impression. And I really got that gut feeling not to take my kid there. Ever. If the cost was $750/month, I might say, yes, this is what I would expect. But no, the cost is around $1300/month. Wow! You can definately find better. Look around for home daycares if your budget is limited.
BEWARE!!. TRULY THE MOST APPALING DAYCARE IN THE GREATER SEATTLE AREA. THIS PLACE IS A FILTHY RUN DOWN OLD SHACK WITH A WITCH IN CHARGE. THIS PLACE HOPEFULLY GETS SHUT DOWN : (
Not for us. We went to tour the infant care area of the Bellevue location. It left me feeling hollow inside, so I knew it was not the right place for our little one. During the tour, the teachers did not say hello or even look at my daughter. I was also not impressed by there not being a more secure entry into the building.
Fab Find!!!. My daughter has been a LPW child since the Seattle location opened. We had trouble finding a center that worked to our expectations. I am so lucky that I have found one with Lil Peoples World. The staff is natural in thier talent with children and exceed in structure of rearing educated minds. Creative, active, fun and rewarding is what comes to mind when I think of LPW. A top Seattle pick in Daycare and Educational Centers!!
Very happy with our experiences. When I left Lil' Peoples World on the first day of dropping my child off I felt empty.... now every morning I drop her off I know she is well cared for, fed and learning skills to prepare her for elementary school interaction. It seems that all the staff knows my daughters name and greets her with her name every morning. When I drop my daughter off she willingly goes with her "teacher" and at night recounts her days activities with excitement and a sparkle in her eye. Everyone has different experiences with childcare but I believe that Lil Peoples World in Bellevue is worth giving a try. Oh and opinions are in the eye of the beholder, you should allow your opinion to lead you!
Don't listen to negative reviews!!. For the person that just SLANDERED a great childcare center, you might want to think about all the good qualities that the teachers at LPW haven given you and your child and the bond that they had. Is it an older building, yes. Is is in desperate need for repair, absolutely not! Is it a warm environment of friendly staff, 100% yes. Do they have a no shoe policy on the infant center, yes. Do they have old cribs, no actually my infant has the same one that I JUST bought form babies r us! Are you upset because they wouldn't listen to your OUTRAGEOUS NEEDS, yes. These teachers work so hard to make every child and parent happy and they do such a great job! I am so happy I am with LPW EVERYTHING IN YOUR POST IS BECAUSE YOU ARE A NEEDY MOM THAT WANTS REVENGE>
Super friendly staff. Although my stay with Lil Peoples World was short due to an out of state move, it was great! Most of the teachers there have been there for a long time. The classrooms were always kept clean and everyone was so loving especially the infant teachers. I would definately recommend them to any of my friends and I miss them already!
