Wonderfully relaxing massage, calming facial!. I recieved a gift card for my bday for the Woodmark Spa. It was for a massage and facial. This was by far one of the best experiences I've had at a spa!!! I saw Tara for a massage and she addressed all my concerns and I felt amazing afterward. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better I was scheduled for a Jurlique facial with Megan. She was so calming and great I almost fell asleep! My face was glowing afterwards and I felt like a new women. This place is definitly a new favorite of mine and I can't wait to go back. Thanks ladies!
Worst body treatment ever received. I've visited Gene Juarez twice for the algae body mask and loved it, but after receiving a spa finder gift certificate I thought I'd try the Woodmark for the same treatment since I figured it couldn't be that different from the other spa, right? WRONG! The 'vichy' shower was not at all like the 14-head all over jets at GJ, it was a few streams straight down the middle of the body that are painful, don't rinse well, and soak your face and hair (the shower cap is pointless) the water is not diverted from the face so I was laying in a pool of water trying to breathe. After I was supposedly rinsed well, they massaged in some nice smelling lotion. But as soon as I left I noticed dead skin still all over my arms, legs, and stomach, they hadn't noticed this when they were putting lotion on??? Although the staff was nice and friendly, and my husband had a nice massage, I don't think I'll be back to give them another try.
Fabulous spa on the Lake Washington!. The spa is a secret gem of a place. Apparently, they've been part of the Woodmark Hotel for 9 years. A friend gave me a gift card for my birthday, since she knows how much I love spas. I had a massage, facial, and manicure and pedicure with a spa lunch. The massage was one of the best I had. Relaxing and deep tissue don't normally go in the same sentence, but it was so incredible. The facial was beyond relaxing and everything smelled amazing. The facial massage put me in a trance and the bed was was so warm and cozy, I didn't want to get out of it!! The mani and pedi were done perfectly and very gently. The area where you relax between treatments was very nice, too. There was tea, water, fruit, nuts, white chocolate truffles, and the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries. I would highly recommend this spa in Kirkland and have already booked my next facial!
The Best Spa around - BY FAR!!!. I might by a spa snob but I work hard and like to pamper myself! I'd been going to another chain luxury spa on the eastside. Woo Hoo!!!! I couldn't believe I happened upon the Woodmark. From the moment I walked in the staff was warm and friendly and their meditation room is chalked full of treats i.e. choco dipped strawberries, fresh fruit, nuts and wonderful teas and water. I visited today for the 5th time and have decided to go once a month now! Have a facial with Mary and a 90 minute massage with Sandy - that's all you'll need to revitalize yourself! I love that place and a little tip - you can buy $100 worth of "SpaFinder" gift certificates for only $80 and use them at the Woodmark. Hey - every little bit helps and then you can justify going more often too :) Try it you'll love it! The only complaint I would have is that their dressing room is small with little privacy but I understand they are remodeling soon. Happy Spa!
AMAZING Experience!. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS! Those people must be crazy and have nothing better to do with their lives. I found the Spa at the Woodmark a couple weeks ago and was completely blown away. If your looking for a place to "get away" this is it! The facial and massge I got were incredible. They always made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. The staff is so welcoming and friendly and the products they use are delightful. They have chocolate covered strawberries in their relaxation room are so tempting! I had a WONDERFUL time and I can't wait to go back.
Don't go with a friend. My friend Mary and I used to get pedicures together ALL THE TIME when I lived in Minnesota. When she came to visit last week, I scheduled us pedicures at The Spa at Woodmark...we were both looking forward to relaxing, getting pampered, and of course chatting. We arrived at the spa and were impressed by the decor and the friendly recertionists. It all took a nosedive when we were brought back for our treatment and realized that the pedicure chairs weren't together...there was even a wall between us! After our treatment which included a parafin wax for BOTH hands and feet (very nice), a short foot soak in tepid water (ugh) and a below average foot/leg massage we were invited to relax and let our toenails dry in the spa waiting room which was very ooh-la-la. The waiting room had comfy chairs, relaxing lighting, and excellent snacks...nuts, fruit, and chocolate covered strawberries (yummy). Relaxing in the spa waiting room was actually the highlight of our treatment. Overall the experience was average and compared to many other places we've been together, not worth the $60.00 price tag.
Worse spa i have ever been to! Don't go there.. Can I give this 0 star? I was always curious to try out the Woodmark Spa. My husband and I got married at the Woodmark hotel, and knowing that I love going to spas, he booked a weekend stay at the Woodmark and a spa package for our one year anniversary. The Woodmark Spa is the WORSE SPA I have ever been to (and I go to various spa on the East Side frequently.) Here is why: Waiting rooms in traditional spas is a place where we get to relax & unwind before the massage began. It is part of the spa experience. Their waiting room.. is a hallway - one where their staff walks through frequently. During our 10 mins or so wait, there was a constant stream of staff walking pass us. I even saw a staff carry bags of grocery walking in to the waiting ?room?. There were no sense of tranquility in that space. The food left on the large table in the middle was a nice touch, but the chocolate covered strawberries needs to be kept on a cooling plate or something, because the chocolate covered strawberry I had was half melted, gooey and a terrible mess! There was also a limited choice of beverages. Tea is a common thing spas offered here. I see tea cups.. but no tea or hot water. Their waiting room is not a place where one can unwind and look forward to the massage. I was hoping that the actual massage experience would have been much better. I was disappointed. Before we even entered the room, I told my therapist that I was cold. (Probably from the draft in that waiting ?room?.) Once on the table, she didn?t do much to help me feel more warm or comfortable. Her massage techniques were not relaxing, maybe I was just too cold the whole time to even enjoy it. At one point, I have to stop her and tell her I was too cold. Nothing was done about that. So after 90 mins of freezing massage. We left, we paid, and feeling totally not relaxed. I gave this feedback to their front desk, and she simply said ?oh I am sorry? and continue to charge us and process us.
Amazing Spa! best on the eastside...
Wow, I love this place - now that my friends and I discovered this gem of a spa we use it for our spa day treat which we do quarterly.
I just love the staff - I'm finding that it's all about the details with spas - and well-trained, polite and sweet staff members like the ones at the Woodmark make ALL the difference!
Also their retail area is so fun and well set out so we come and shop while we're spa-ing.
Their therapists are the best in town that I've found. The facial I had there last time left my skin looking waay different than it usually looks after a facial. Also the massage therapists are trained in all different techniques, like Lomi Lomi and Reiki, etc. Very healing.
We'll be back soon, I highly recommend this spot. Afterwards, go and sit at the lake and enjoy the millonaire view! And get lunch and cocktails at Bluwater Bistro!
The BEST for Nail Services.
I want to say that my experience from start to finish was FABULOUS! The front dest staff was very polite and accomodating. I was able to get into a nice plush robe and was seated in their "relaxation room". They had chocolate coered raisins, almonds and.... don't get me started on their chocolate covered strawberries! I was then escorted to the nail area and had a very relaxing manicure and pedicure. I sat in a jetted tub (when I asked..she informed me that it was a pipeless tub) and I was able to control my back massager. Lisa was very professional and did exactly what I wanted.
Icannot wait to come back. I would DEFINITELY reccommend this spa!!!!!!
