Glad that I didn't follow these reviews.
I had a great experience today at Gene Juarez in Redmond.
Was my first time going to this salon and Im more than satisfied!!!
The stylist Morgan got my idea and I look better than I had in mind, she is kind and so professional.
I didnt feel any of these things that I read on these reviews before to go, I got so scared to go after read them ,but I went anyway because I had good advices from my friends, and I glad I did !!!!.
These reviews are not as helpful as they look; I saw a lot of people there ,and is sad that most of the costumers only complain and don't reward.
Lackluster. What a waste of time and money! All I asked for was an all over color that wasn't too dark and drab and that's what they gave me. I walked out of the salon with a choppy hair cut and dull dark hair. I will never go back to this overpriced, overrated salon. In a stylish area like Seattle, there are far too many salons that are better than this place.
inconsistent. I thought I had a good stylist, and I'm a good tipper, too. She was always at least 15 minutes late, though, and the last cut I got, she whacked a big piece of my hair out of the back and didn't even tell me she did it. I didn't even find out about it until a couple of days later. She knew she did it, too, because she was acting nervous at the end, but she DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING! She let me leave there with half the hair on the back of my head cut off, and she didn't even tell me or try to fix it. My colorist there is good, though. Her name is Rhonda. She knows what she's doing and she doesn't waste time and she's always on time.
STAY AWAY. I got the WORST haircut of my life at this salon. I asked for a simple cut and even brought along a photo, and Naomi (recommended in another review) made me look like a chemotherapy patient. When I went back to ask a different stylist to fix the damage, she said it was a BAD HAIRCUT and my only option was to let it grow.
Good Hair Day. Good experience, service and results. The stylist is up on current trends, friendly and attentive.

I'VE NEVER BEEN HAPPY WITH A HAIR CUT RECEIVED AT THESE SALONS.
AFTER MY LAST ENCOUNTER, WHEN I WAS BUTCHERED, A MONTH BEFORE MY WEDDING....I VOWED NEVER TO GO BACK AGAIN... AND HAVEN'T.
Poor value to cost ratio. While I have had some excellent results at Redmond's Gene Juarez, they have not been consistent. Even a great stylist can have an off day, but at $60 and up for a haircut, even the inconvenience of going back for a free adjustment seems inappropriate. Hair and beauty services there are good, but not good enough to justify the consistently increasing prices and inflexible scheduling arrangements. We have taken our business elsewhere and are getting equally (and consistently) good cuts for $17 at a local shop from an experienced stylist who simply prefers a smaller, less formal workplace.
FIVE STAR!. Gene Juarez Salon & Spa is the BEST! Everytime I go to the Salon I receive the greatest customer service and style! Thank you to LIZ at the Southcenter Salon and Spa for the BEST foil I have ever had!
Gene J. is a Waste of time and Money. Gene Juarez customer service has slowly been decreasing and this year, they hit rock bottom. I have several horror stories, but I'll just use main points; they changed make-up "artists" on my friend the day of her wedding, they screwed up on her billing statement, I have made appointments at GJ and have been kept waiting for over an hour for a haircut. Waxing appoints always run AT LEAST 15 minutes late. They don't care about the customers, they just care about the $$$!
