If you are planning on going on any road trips this summer bring your vehicle by & we will do a free brake and A/C inspection. We will also check all of your fluids. Do remember any abnormal noises or if you are feel any type of pulsation are a good sign that your brakes need to be checked.

I needed to replace my clutch on my VW. VW *changed* the size of the clutch, didn't sell it anymore, and this required replacing all of the housing.
Erik got the same sized clutch from an old Karmengia and popped it in. That was at least 5 years ago.
We have 4 cars now and we take all of them to him for everything except simple stuff, and it is rare that we need any work on our 15 year old cars because of his efforts.
You Guys Rock! – My son needed a tune-up on his car. I called them up with no appointment and was able to get it done within that day. Here is the story... my son is moving over to eastern Washington for college this summer. He being the the last second type of person he didn't call around to get his car looked at before his trip over there, which was the next day. I said I would pay for the repair costs he just needed to find a repair shop. Well that plan didn't work... I should have known. So taking my advice from some other Microsoft co-workers I call up IPM thinking I would get a "sorry we are all busy today" but I was surprised to hear Erik the shop owner say he had one open bay and could do it right now. We dropped the car off and told him if it was broken just fix it... no question needed. Thinking I would just take the hit for a big bill he called me to let me know exactly what needed repairs and what would need some work in the future. I was very surprised he was not like any other mechanic that would make up some false story about how they had to replaced some random part that really didn't need to be replaced because if they didn't your car would blow-up or something... trust me... I've heard it before from other places in Redmond. Anyway, come 5pm on the dot I got a call saying that the car is all done and ready to go. Truly people, this place is knows how to treat you right! They don't have a fancy waiting area with a giant tv and little snack, but they make it up in great speed and service. As my title say... you guys rock!
Happy customer! – Took my car here recently and I love how they explain what was wrong, what needs to be fixed, what could wait if I couldn't afford it, and how much it would cost.. There is not to many repair shops that show the honesty they do. I knew exactly what was going to be repaired and how much it was going to cost. No surprises and I like that. They do offer a Microsoft employee discount which helped a lot. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a auto repair shop in Redmond.
Geoff and the crew are great! – I've used Geoff for many years and he is the best. I get a fair deal and he does the job right.
What I really like about IPM is that they don't try to sell you extra services or use any bait and switch tactics. They stand behind all their work with warranty and will do what it takes to do get your car working again.
Don't Get Ripped Off! – As a woman, I have long dreaded the times when my vehicle needs service. I have always left feeling ripped off and talked down to. I was so pleasantly surprised when my recent service at IPM Auto Service was positive. I called and made an appointment for my 1998 Honda since the brakes were due and squeaking. The person who answered the phone was polite, professional and I made my appointment for two days later. I work early in the morning, so I dropped off my car the night before and slipped my key into their key drop. Another gentleman called me at about 10:00AM with a diagnosis and firm price for repair. He was nice, professional and took the time to carefully explain about another minor problem I was having with my car. No pressure to fix the minor issue, which I appreciated. They called to tell me the car was done at about 3:00. I picked it up soon after. The guy behind the counter, (Geoff I think) was very nice and professional. The mechanic that worked on my car also came in to explain about something on my car, and he was very clean-cut and professional also. The bill was clear and exactly what they said it would be. I came away feeling great about my experience and informed about my car. I am thrilled to have finally found someone I can trust.
Given the run around – When I went in the get my car fixed, I guess I began irritable when the store opened up 30 minutes late, but Washington traffic is bad, I understand. Than when my part came in, they said they should have it ready for me that day. Since I knew the amount of labor involved, versus when I called them, versus when they closed, I knew that there was plenty of time, and I anticipated picking my car up that day. So, I called about thrity minutes before the store closed inquiring about my car. I was told. "Do you absolutely have to have it today, because I can get to it tomorrow morning". I am not only inconvenience another day, but the mechanic clearly did not care about my time, or how much of an inconvenience this was. He was unprofessional when he spoke to me, and was unprofessional by not calling me, and telling me my car would be ready the next day. The next day they call, and my car is finally ready, I tell them when I can be by the shop, and to add insult to injury with the state of my car, I am told by the mechanic that it is ugly. Yes, I knew that going in, but I did not go in there to have it pretty, just working. I felt the mechanic was patronizing, rude and unprofessional. But, on the plus side, my car is fixed. So, if you do decide to take your car here, try to make sure the owner is the only one handling your car. I found him to very nice, and professional.
